I guess I haven't had to do a regular ticketmaster sale in so long I forgot if its a huge pain or not...seems like everyone has presales nowadays...

any advice (going in person to an outlet, by phone or just online) on how to lock down good tix (ie reserved) for this Red Rocks show?

mtngoat

You will need to become an "interactive member" to find out about the presale at KBCO.com. There no specifics yet except that it is on Friday.

Can't Wait!!!!!!     ;D

General admission, reserved seating information has been circulated on the the Red Rocks mailing list and has probably been listed on their website by now. GA rows 2-25, reserved 26 and up except for the last couple of rows. I think prices are $36 GA and $40 reserved.

Here's what Red Rocks website has posted:

My Morning Jacket
Thursday, August 21, 2008 — 7:00PM
doors open at 6:00PM

With The Black Keys
$40.00 RES, $36.00 GA - Ticketmaster - plus applicable service charges.
AEG Live is excited to announce MY MORNING JACKET featuring THE BLACK KEYS performing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Thursday, August 21, 2008.

My Morning Jacket explosive sound garners mighty praise. David Fricke reviewed My Morning Jacket's recent SXSW , he said "You could keep biting your nails, waiting for a Zeppelin-reunion tour. Or you can see My Morning Jacket, here and now, make their own Physical Graffiti in your face."

"There's a theme of moral confusion that runs through the whole record," says Jim James, frontman of My Morning Jacket, explaining the title of the band's new album, Evil Urges. "The world today is such a confused place. Things that people think are good values are obviously twisted, but there are other things considered evil that obviously aren't. There is real evil out there, but Evil Urges is about how all of these things that you've been told are evil really aren't, unless they're actually hurting something or somebody."

It's ambitious territory for the group's fifth full-length studio album, and it's matched by the most far-ranging, surprising, and satisfying sounds of their career. From the freak-funk electro-slam of "Highly Suspicious" to the contemplative "Sec Walkin'," which could almost be a Nashville standard, on Evil Urges, My Morning Jacket displays the scope and fearlessness that demonstrates their growth into one of the world's great rock & roll bands.

excuuuussee me if this question has been asked already but Im coming up from Dallas for this show and I want to CAMP the night before and night of. Is there any reflective spot to camp closer than Golden Gate Canyon? What is the 10-4 on camping around Red Rocks? Much Appreciated!

Golden Gate State Park is a nice spot, but like you say, a pretty good distance from Red Rocks. Last year aMD stayed at Chief Hosa Campground which is an easy drive right up I-70. It's right next to the highway, so not much isolation if that's what you're looking for. Definitely no camping in Red Rocks Park itself.

We wound up on 35. Had a lot of problems getting logged in and getting the password. The KBCO site sucked, posted nothing until the last moment and then you had to keep entering and re-entering user id and password. They usually do a much better job than this; it took about 5 minutes to finally just get the freakin password. Maybe it was volume. On the other hand, just glad to be in and row 35 isn't that bad. Can watch the moon rise over the stage and drink in the whole spectacle.

Roger Waters is here Wednesday. Looking forward to that one.

I still have the Row 32 tix for sale. Selling for face value + fees, of course. Email: linseyjo6@hotmail.com
