Live at Abbey Road maybe?   Can some of you from the big island do a little digging and find out.  I can't imagine Jim would make a trip over for just one show unless something else was going on.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this show works out as Jim cancelled the same venue a couple of years ago and I can't make the MMJ show in July.

It's an awesome venue though, right in the heart of little old London town.

Saw Josh Ritter play at the same venue solo acoustic and it was ridiculously amazing -tight and intimate, know what I mean?

Although The Bear will always be the highlight of any show for me (and last night's rendition by Jim, solo, was awesome) Gideon, with Jim & Carl together, soared majestically up into and around the ecclesiastical ceiling to produce a truelly religious experience.

The highlight of a long to be remembered evening.

The venue, bang in the centre of London, was absolutely stunning - an active church that clearly has rarely, if ever, been used for a 'rock' concert before - originally built by Christopher Wren sometime during the 1600s and half-destroyed during WW2. The lighting was amazing and it gradually got darker during the concert as afternoon turned to dusk.

Setlist had a couple of great surprises - Old Sept Blues and The Bear were both brilliant. I Will Be There When You Die was slightly more sped up than on record. Had been hoping for a couple more from At Dawn/It Still Moves but hard to complain when we got 3 in a row from Tennesse Fire...and i guess this was a bit of a preview for Evil Urges.

Quite surprised how well the Evil Urges tracks translated into a more stripped down setting - but i'm still not sure how well they measure up overall, compared to a fair bit of older material.

We can only hope someone recorded it - it was absolutely stunning!  It was actually being filmed.  They had one camera at the back near the sound mixing (I think no one was using it so it must've been used for a static wide shot) and a second one operated near the front - either with a tripod or handheld.  I didn't see him for the past 30-35 minutes so I'm not sure if he was only allowed to film so much.

I didn't recognise the very first song...but it was heavily leaned towards Evil Urges and Z material.  Would've been nice to have At Dawn/It Still Moves represented more - Golden and Bermuda Highway.  That said, the trio of TTF tracks was immense.

Ah thought it might be - I've got both volumes but haven't listened to them in a while.  I think the only releases I haven't got are the TTF/At Dawn demos and a couple of EPs.

As already mentioned, the show was amazing!  I'm a new convert to MMJ (after Jim James' better-than-the-original "Going To Acapulco" cover and hearing Evil Urges!) and was absolutely blown away by him, the setting and the whole show. Great stuff.

Hopefully a recording will surface.
