Sexy Time!!!

Wow, I remember seeing you guys.  I was right up in front of you like second row back overall.  Had a white bandanna on... Some of those shots have the back of my head.  Good times it was.

QuoteI taped the entire show, somehow, despite the rain.  A friend of mine told me that he could see my giant red umbrella in the corner of the FUSE broadcast.  Sorry if I blocked any people's views behind me, but I had to keep the mics dry, and it was worth it ;)  Jamming out to the recording now and it sounds great.

So when are you going to post a copy so we can all enjoy it?

Angry Ewok

Dude, an MP3 version of that would make me peanut-butter-puddin'-surprise my batman boxers right now.
--- and that's 2 real 4 u.

blueskyink

I think if you upload the FLAC version of it and don't mind if people convert it to MP3, one of us could do it for you since you already put the time into recording and editing.  I personally want the FLAC version for cd but will convert it to mp3 so it can be on the go with me, by the way how is the quality?

YouAre_GivenToFly

This would make for great listening on the train to NYC
The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

"My Morning Jacket were supposed to play from midnight to 3 a.m. last night, PopWatchers. Instead, they played until 4. In the pouring rain. For four hours. It was something I will never forget as long as I live. How good was the four-hour long show in the pouring rain? Well, first, it was pouring rain, and I didn't leave. My raincoat went from waterproof to water-indifferent, and I didn't leave. I had no food or potable water, and I didn't leave. And then the dude behind me whipped it out and PEED ON MY FOOT while trying to relieve himself into a bottle, and I DID NOT LEAVE. No, the My Morning Jacket four hour concert in the pouring rain was so good that a man peed on me, and neither one of us was willing to break the MMJ spell long enough to walk away from each other. We just stood there. Pee-er. Pee-ee. Together. Soaked in rain, pee, and wonder. THAT is how good last night's My Morning Jacket show was."

That is the most "rock-n-Roll" thing i may have ever heard.  Does a body good!!!

The taper needs to perform his magic!!  i can't think of a bootleg that i have been more excited about anticipating!!!  Jeez!!!  Pleez!!!
O, How time flies, with crystal clear eyes.  But it's cold, it's cold, when you're ending with diamond eyes.

wow--just flew back this morning--exhausted..but that setlist was unbelievable but the MOST UNBELIEvABLE thing happened in guest camping on sat following the show--i MET THE WHOLE band..it was so awesome. pic of me and jim to follow- i was so nervous and sweaty and he was SOOOOOO nice. i normally don't get choked up around celebrities cuz i seem them a lot--but of course i had nothing intelligent to say (LOL  oh well) too nervous to comment on the show or the RCMH show...but so what cuz in the same year, i met richard ashcroft AND jim james...so there's really no one else i care about meeting i guess. my 2 favorite songwriters of all time (post lennon/mccartney)

it was great to meet anu, ghosts on tv and angry ewok..we randomly found each other. pretty funny.

btw---overall raconteurs and levon were spectacular and pearl jam was pretty UNDERwhelming ----also widespread bringing robert randolph to jam was another highlight. once i get my paper done and sleep, i'll write more on bonnarooooooooo-----
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

If the flac files show up and there are no MP3 versions readily available.  Download the FLAC FRONTEND program and "quick switch" it yourself.  It's as easy as pie!!!

Well i have to say that MMJ probably played the best concert i will ever see in my entire life and my friend caught a drum stick from pat and gave it to me it is chillin in my room right now oh yea and an OLSEN twin was watching the show right next to me who knew she had good taste in music. 4 hours of bliss the covers were some of the best i have ever heard thanks MMJ

this was my 3rd MMJ @ Roo experience and it quite possibly was the best.  i got my introduction to the band at the epic 2004 Orig. Return to Thunderdome set and I have been hooked ever since.  the 2006 late night show was one of the best nights of my life.  I still get goosebumps when i listen to parts of the 2006 show (especially the Dondate).  i went into the 2008 late night show without really knowing what to expect, maybe even low expectations b/c i did not think it would be possible to surpass the epic 2006 show.  boy was I wrong.  Friday night from midnight - 4 AM was possibly the best concert I have ever seen in my life, a night I will NEVER forget.  i left Metallica after about 45 minutes to go get a good spot for MMJ, the over 2 hour wait was well worth.  got a very decent spot about 20 feet in front of the soundboard (ptmoore I was not far from your red umbrella at all).

this band is simply clicking on all cylinders right now, just total domination.  each member has such a definitve role in the band and the sound was so amazing at Roo that it was so easy to hear each member even with the pouring rain.

I was so excited to see all thew new songs live for the 1st time and they did not dissapoint.  Evil Urges opener was incredible, possibly my favorite of the new tunes lives, just set the tone for the whole night.  Highly Suspicious was so much fun live, full out dance party, i hope they start to extend the jam a little bit more.  out of all the new tunes they played I was most suprised by the way 2 Halves sounded live, it was the 1 track that i really didn't love on EU but i think I have listened to that track about 15 times since Roo.  the live debut of Touch Me Part 1 got me fired up, i am a big fan of that tune.  kind of bummed that the Omnichord wasn't working for Touch Me Part 2, but JJ making the noises was hillarious (bee bop bop).

I couldn't have been happier with the cover selections, all the funk really meshes well with the current sound.  JJ doing his best James Brown impersonation would have made The Godfather of Soul quite proud, he was dancing all over the stage.  I could not stop singing Get Down On It all weekend.  What you gonna do?   Get your back up off the wall!  I was literally jumping for joy when they started playing Oh Sweet Nuthin, one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time (possibly my #1 of all time).  I love the way Phish covered it back on Halloween in 98 but MMJ just tore this song up live, took it to a new level.  Home Sweet Home, is there possibly a better way to end the set?

the special guests were fun.  OBH w/Kirk Hamett was just a lot of fun, Kirk was pretty hesitant throughout the song.  not sure how well it will translate on tape but it was so much fun live.  Zach Galifianakis was pretty funny but did more dancing then singing.

my highlights were: the resurfacing of Tyrone, I have wanted to see this song live for so long now (please bring back War Begun next!), the drum solo at the end of Steam Engine was incredible it really sucked that Carl was having such problems with his guitar though during Steam Engine, Phone Went West was great but I don't think they ever fully finished it, however my highlight of the entire show was 2 2-song combos.  first the Easy Morning Rebel-Dancefloors combo and then the Dondante-Run Thru combo.  both of those combos had me dancing like never before.

the best part about the night was that of my crew only 3 of us wound up at MMJ together.  some people left b/c of the rain and the rest of my crew were off seeing other shows.  so anyway of the 3 of us my one buddy Evan had never seen MMJ, me and my buddy Rudy have been telling Evan for years that he needs to see them live but he had never got around to it.  his plan was to check out MMJ for about an hour and then go see some of the other late night shows.  well he did not miss 1 minute of MMJ.  the whole night he kept saying things like: "I should have listened to you and Rudy", "this is one of best concerts I have seen in years", "this band is fucking awesome".  It really made me enjoy the moment even more.  my other buddy Josh who has seen MMJ before all we had to do was look at each other after each song, no words had to be spoken it was just a magical magical night.

after the show we all immediately said it was easily the highlight of the weekend and that nothing would even come close to topping it and we were right.  MMJ was easily the highlihgt of the whole weekend of incredible music.  the pouring rain only made the show that much more fun, I never stopped dancing even though I could barely feel my calves.  MMJ truly understands the greatness that is Bonnaroo and they always bring their A game.  it is so refreshing to have a band like this in the music scene.  they stand for everything that is right and good with music.  thank you MMJ for single handly making my weekend so amazing.

is it Friday yet?  Radio City can not come fast enough.
Stolen as the war begun, this time your soul is my one.
