I am so excited I don't even know what to type. Pretty much can't stop shaking and pacing around in anticipation.  Who is going to both shows? Where are you sitting? Any other Canadians going down? If they pull a cover out what do you want it to be?

So far, it looks like the weather is supposed to be nice.

We are leaving Portland sunday morning as soon as we recover from the saturday face melting. Hotel is close to the venue so I want to wonder the area... maybe find Jim and the boys.

Easy Street Records is right down the street only about 2-3 blocks from the venue. I'd suggest checking it out.

In just 2 nights, yes 2 more nights, we will be swaying to the lovely sounds of MMJ on what [promises to be] a beautiful Oregon evening.
Bring some layers folks...because Oregon is not known for warm nights. At the end of September.  Well, never.

See you all there!

vespachick

And get there early, because you never know what might happen during the opening set!!! 8-)

ok.  am officially starting a "twilight" campaign for portland or seattle...

count me in on that campaign....
or maybe Sooner?  Bermuda Highway?  I have only seen these performed live once at separate shows.....
Portland will be the down home vibe, with the trees and the stars and all.
Seattle will be an attempt to contain the power of MMJ (i have never been to McCaw, but it looks purty   ::))

But wow, twilight....good thinking Ms. Yvon!  :D

lovely suggesetions for the outdoor show!  i'm torn between "nashville to kentucky" and "about twilight now."  i just think the latter would be a blast!

Edgefield rocks. I saw the Crowes there last month. I'd love to come back to see MMJ, but it ain't in the cards.

McCall Hall promises to be good anyway.

Heading out in just 2 hours!!!!!

Did you guys think the crowd for the show was kind of lame? Dancing around was kept to a minimum. I was in the back row in the orchestra section at first. I was surprised everyone was keeping to their seat area, when all I wanted to do was run to the front and dance my ass off and show the band we were into them.

During Lay Low I thought "fuck it" and walked to the separator between the two sections in the front. I stood there for awhile, and when the guitar solo started, I noticed there was no security guarding the front section, so my friend and I went in and stood 5 feet from JIM JAMES!

We were freaking out. We went from the back of the room to the front that easily. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience, until one of the ushers told us we had to leave the front section after a few songs because there was too much weight on the floor? Said it was a safety issue. What BS.

Anyway, I still got to make eye contact with Mr. James (can you tell I have a crush hahah) and took some sweet pics with my phone.

Also, does anyone have the setlist from this show? I wanted to post it on my blog: http://nobenefit.blogspot.com

vespachick

Coupon, you had the right idea!  I ended up skirting security into the pit as well and leaned against the stage for quite some time!  Here's the setlist from Seattle:
