Best wishes for a QUICK recovery, JJ! Sending good vibes and well wishes from Chicago.

We'll be here when you are ready to play Chicago!
But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

Get well soon, Jim. PLEASE get very well before the New Year's Eve bash. Without you guys going, I really don't see any reason to go to NYC. I'm serious - I'm just not a big city person.

If Robert Plant came back from being in a wheelchair during the Presence era, I'm sure Jim can bounce back quickly from an accident for which he was treated and released from the hospital. Take care of yourself (and yourselves, to all the band), so we can all rock into 2009 together.

JB up in Mass.

Wish you a quick recovery Jim - take this time to reflect and rest.  Most importantly - sit back and write some more kick ass tunes!

Bummer of the Decade.  Get well JJ.  Anyone know what the deal is with tickets?  I'm coming from NC and had 4th row and 6th row seats for Thur & Fri respectively.  Can I hold onto the tickets and exchange them for the new dates?  I will be in Chicago this weekend anyway since my ticket/hotel is non-refundable...I heard about the Whigs on Sat.  Any other shows?

First and foremost- best wishes to Jim and we're all hoping you recover quickly and fully.

Just a thought from one of the fans who was at the IC show; maybe a donation to the ongoing flood relief efforts might be an appropriate way to make up for the unfortunate accident.  While we are all concerned about the health and well being of Jim, there is still the issue that we paid for a concert that we did not get to see.  There is a lingering disapointment amongst the fans and a donation to the relief efforts would be a great way to make something good come out of this difficult situation.

Thanks again for even considering a stop in Iowa City and I look forward to the next show!

If you are coming to Chicago, Broken Social Scene is playing at the Vic on Thursday night.  They are pretty good live and the Vic is a GREAT venue.

Get well soon Jim, my wife and I are still flying out to Chicago so whoever is at the theater, we'll definately swing by and say hi and see wherever the next 3 days take us.

Gundy and the missus...

This is really terrible.  I've gone from having a My Morning Jacket triple header to not having any MMJ shows to go to -- all in less than 24 hours.

I'm not mad at the band or anything; it's just disappointing.  I got my tickets the day they went on sale, one of which is a ticket for the front row main floor.  I've been looking forward to these shows ever since the dates were announced.  I've had to read about all the other shows so far on this tour.  I've been dying to see the Evil Urges songs performed live.  I've been sitting on a load of cash to spend at the shows.  This is my favorite band.  And now, ZERO of the three shows I had tickets for will be taking place.

If this reschedules for a time next month when I'm out of town I'll be terribly upset.  The last few months of my personal life have been horrible.  These shows were the few bright spots I had to look forward to this fall.

Jim, try acupuncture.  I'm Bo's friend, Billy C., the Acupuncturist in Berkeley.  It works.  Madonna does it, so it must be cool.

I've got another thought as an Iowa City fan:  COME BACK!!!!!  I'm all for flood relief but c'mon, we all wanted to see the guys play the incredible set list they had up, and I don't think a check to the Red Cross is gonna make me or anybody else feel a ton better.  Jim, get well and return to IC.  It really is a great town if you give it a chance! :)

Get well Jim.

Listen dude, just get well enough to go trick or treating. There's nothing a pillowcase full of candy can't cure, and the candy will take you the rest of the way.
I'm surrounded by assholes

Good vibes being sent Jims way from Oz.
How loud can silence get?

God damn those shaking knee's... :-[
A lie is not always a bad thing, as it must lead to a truth!

Bummer.  Hope you recover, Jim.

I am an older fan, saw Jimi in 68 here in Chicago, my first concert, ever.
This was the only show I purchased a ticket for this year, in advance.
When you do reschedule, do so at the Chicago Theater or some place as nice, like the Auditorium.

Keep on Keepin On!

fortbethel

blow up sex dolls should be taped over those woofers so this doesn't happen again.
