QuoteHowdy,

I was near the front of the line and we were told there was a delay on getting in (about an hour) as the band were still checking the sound on stage. When we were eventually let in, we just waltzed through with our webtickets - didn't realise there was big issues for those behind us.

As has been said, amazing show - my ears are still ringing crazy - hopefully they'll be back to norm for more Jacket and Neil Young tonight. Bermuda and Touch Me - Cobra were highlights for me. I don't usually go so near the front, but it was great to see Jim's expressions and get a greater appreciation of just how much he enjoys doing what he's doing.

Only negative of the night was the dumbass who thought it was kareoke night and kept spilling his bear and flicking his ash, and after every song yelling at my wife "what will they play next!". Gee, probably what they damn want to, turdface. There's always one...

And love the killer poster - so pleased they did a silkscreen one, and sorry don't know the artist - yet.

Can't believe I've finally seen my favourite band! And tonight my fav artist! Now if only Tom Waits would tour down under.

Hey Matt,

I think I was standing next to you in line and inside!!!  I shot off pretty quick to grab me my t-shirts and poster!

Yeah, that guy was a complete fool.  Of all the places he had to stand he had to stand infront of me!!!!!  Luckily MMJ got me focusing on them so he wasn't too much of a distraction!

I couldn't belive my luck that they played Bermuda Hwy!  HEAVEN!

Enjoy Neil Young & MMJ tonight!!! ;D ;D

I think the guy you are referring to came and stood in front of me about 3 songs in and managed to spill his beer, stand on the feet of the girl next to him, nearly head butt me about 10 times and keep trying to spark up conversation mid-song with people.  He lit up a ciggie and security called him over so he flicked it at him and split.  I noticed a little later on that he has reappeared on the other side of the folks I was standing next to.

Theres always one in every crowd...
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

If that's the "photo guy" then I think I wore a third of his beer down my back. Thankfully that was as annoying as he got for me, sounds like he was a real pain in the arse. As you guys said, there's always one!

unfortunately, life throws in at least one complete ass wipe at every show we go to.

That sounds so, so good! Were there any tapers that you guys saw? Thanks for reviews and pictures! They're great!
One good thing about music: when it hits you feel no pain.

Yipes!  Remember to protect your hearing, guys...the Jacket are far too powerful to be heard by the naked ear!

The site FasterLouder.com.au has pics up from Tuesday night. I'm in one of the crowd shots near the end.. looking a bit emo, which scares the SHIT out of me! Ugh.

Some really good shots otherwise...

I've uploaded most of my videos onto YouTube. The picture quality is pretty shit compared to how they look through Quicktime. If interested, you can find them here: http://www.youtube.com/beebif

For those on Facebook, you can see a few of the better quality videos here:

glad to see everyone else had a similarly awesome night - apart from the start, which really was a complete balls-up. putting doors open at 8 then leaving a huge line of people outside in the heat for ages... not acceptable people.

it's been a bit of a weird week for me all up - went to a rather fun rave festival over the weekend, had to work half a day tuesday, saw mmj, got food poisoning in ridiculously awful high temperatures, only to get back to work today for half a day before they told us to go home (34 degrees inside the office).... mostly not fun.

but i have to say, the gig on tuesday night has surpassed my former "best ever" experience... truly amazingly fantastic guys. just fucking incredible.

i know for the past 4 years i've been reading how blown away everyone here has been by the boys' live shows, but let me tell you - much as they're great on dvd, and youtube etc etc... live is the only way. i took about 200 photos (apologies to the people behind me) most are a little blurry but i'll try put some up in a few days. i ended up on the front of the first row of steps (sacrificing being close to being able to see everything) and...

holy shit.

thankyou for playing golden, that really melted my heart.
love a song for the way it makes you feel
