The OBH closing at the Waterfront was crazy, nasty, rock 'n roll at it's SUPREME!
Carl dancing amidst the giant puppeteers drawing Jim over to the right(Carl) side of the stage, the crowd going wild. What more can you ask........really? ::)
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

I think its a great closer but Im sure they'll re-tool things for subsequent tours. By my 3rd show of the tour part of me said to hell with predictability and really enjoyed the familiarity of OBH as a closer. They mixed up the early part of the encore, which was enough for me. By the time OBH rolls around its kinda like a "OK, here we go. This is it, so get it all out of your system". Its was a friendly handshake, a "This'll tide you over until we meet again".

kymomandstuff is right, OBH at Waterfront Park took down the house. I loved it on New Years as well, the only way to close it out IMO. In some ways its become more than a simple song to me. Much like Birds Lament, whenever I hear it now I spontaneously break into an ear-to-ear smile like one of Pavlovs dogs, and Im flooded with memories of the shows Ive seen, people I've met, etc etc.

Well, thats fulfills my bi-monthly rambling post requirement.

Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?
