Perth Big Day Out - 1/2/09.

Just got home from the Perth BDO and MMJ's last performance in OZ!

One word....AWESOME!  It was my fiance's first live MMJ experience and she started crying when Golden was strummed out.  And my best friend said it was one of the best live performances he's ever seen.  Hence his request to borrow Okonokos!!!!

Anyway, the set list was as follows...

Well, TV on the Radio were on before hand, and when they finished there was a mass exodus.  It was just so hot, we were in direct sunlight!.  I was abit surprised that so few stayed for the Jacket.  When MMJ rocked up the joint was half full.  But 15mins in, it was pretty solid.  But I was up the front, so I couldn't really get a good view of the back.  But it was certainly decent.

For a band that isn't so well known here, I'd say it was an excellent turn out.  I even over heard a guy, when MMJ had finished, moan to his mates that he wished he got there for the whole thing, as they were unreal (he had rocked up early for Cut Copy).  So, i'm pretty sure MMJ won some new fans in Perth!
