fuck iowa, isn't that where jim fell off the stage?  If Iowa fans were real fans they would have grabbed him crowd surf style, even in pitch black his aura is visible to even the most n00b of fans.  fuck that shit.  no offense.

haggardphunk

yeah its where he fell off the stage

A) there was a gap between the stage and rail like every venue
B) auras arent real
C) band came out and said they would make it up to us

still waiting for that make up show

A) there was a gap between the stage and rail because the fans weren't bad ass enough to break that shit down to truly rock.
B) auras are real, are you kidding me?
C) Patrick sent me a tweet right after the gig, he was like "Iowa sucks so bad they almost killed Jim because they weren't rocking hard enough".

these are facts we're talking about here.

haggardphunk

reason C) made me LOL

either way, i just hope they come back

it actually ruined my NYE plans that year too

i was supposed to go to chicago the 2 nights after iowa city and they canceled that.  i also had plans to go to Richmond and i was going to shoot up to MSG for new years.  but then they rescheduled chicago when richmond was going to happen and kinda ruined all my plans.  had to sell my NYE tix and settled for the 2 nights in chicago

I was about 12 feet back, centerstage, and probably 50% of the people in front of me looked like statues, so youre kind of spot on

Guys, guys, please.  Go easy on my beloved home state.  We're not all bad here.  As far as looking like statues, I think that's kind of the norm for at least part of MMJ shows.  They tend to hypnotize and mezmorize you with their awesomeness.  Evidence:  Okonokos.  It's not just Iowa.  Fuck all y'all that say fuck Iowa.   :)

We could.

I don't wanna bash on Iowa, but for the sake of this message I almost  have to. Before I throw Iowa under the bus, let me say...I live less then 2 hours from the Iowa boarder...I have 3 good friends from Iowa, and they're  good friends, and they laugh about my experience....But Iowa almost made me miss the MMJ/Dylan gig at Red Rocks. Sure I made the mistake of telling them I needed to get outta jail to see the Jacket the next night (or having weed on me), but it seems because of the concert they tried making us stay another night (had to call dog the bounty hunter to get bonded out). I'm not going to post how much I paid for better roads in Iowa again, but I adopted a few highways for an 1/8 of weed. Can't say I'm too fond of that state.

But it's Iowa...
...They are on the Corn Belt!

fuckin Corn Huskers I swear to god.  they get under my skin like no other.  Those kids standing like statues were probably children of the corn waiting for salvation or whatever the fuck that movies about.  Iowa creeps me out big time.

Corn on the Cob is better than Apples.  Although both are blessings from Mother Earth.  I'm glad the Indians thought us the way of the Corn.

I'd take corn on the cob over apples any day. But that's just me. Iowa doesn't have commercials bagging me to eat their corn, I just do it anyways.  8-)
