QuoteTrying to decide what tix to keep. We have two ga and two center Pavillion, and told some friends they can take the two that I pass on.

I am in the same situation. I have 2 GA tickets and 2 Pavilion RC Row N. Not sure which ones i wanna use. I was 2 or 3 rows back at the Philly concert Sept 08 and it was unreal. Only problem is that my lower back can't take standing for hours at a time. So it was like simultaneous euphoria and pain.

Had reserved seating at NYE MSG and it just wasn't the same experience. Great show, but afterward my face had only minor burns, not complete meltage like in Philly.

Its a tough decision...but one I'm glad i get to make.

I'm Center, Row LL.... mostly for reasons of sound quality and being able to sit.

I'm kind of psyched because everyone says all seats in the pavilion are great, and so is the sound.

....but im psyched regardless because because the jacket rules and im gonna rock out.  :D
...words only got in the way

QuoteI'm re-considering my decision after browsing the web for reviews and pictures.  Seems like the pit is pretty small and somewhat crammed. The reserved seating is elevated and seems to have a much better overall view (though not as close to the stage, obviously). Also, the sound would probably be much better in the reserved areas, as the speakers wouldn't be directly above your head (I think the "sweet spot" for the sound would be near center row AA, as that is where the sound board is). Here are some comments/pictures/videos I found online...

Wow! Thanks for that. My seats are in Row AA and that looks pretty good to me.

The pit looks like it might be a bit too crammed for my liking.

I'm still not 100% sure but I'm leaning towards keeping the reserved seats.

Thanks again for the help.

Holy shit, I cant believe how many people in here pulled pit tickets!  :o

My boy was able to get 2 seats in Row U right center, but now Im a little disappointed since it seems like 30 people in here got pit tix.

People were pulling pit tickets like 2 1/2 hours after they went on sale.  I was on right at 10 and had no problem whatsoever.

I was in the Pit at MPP last summer for Thievery Corporation and it was really fun. We were super close and actually it wasnt that cramped.

I would imagine for MMJ it will be packed though.

QuoteI wonder if those are the package seats?
Ah yes, I forgot about those.  I'm sure a good deal of those gray seats are for that then.

That's right - the CID package seats are those center pavilion seats, row M and better.   (Not all of them) but if you buy the package, have confidence you are getting sweet seats.

Yeah I was a little worried when they didn't have the exact seat numbers on the order yester day, but I figured they would be part of the grayed out seats.

The few times I have been there the pavillion seats have been the way we have went.  Very good views and able to sit if needed as they were festivals with 10 plus bands.  The acoustics are great and the beer options are better than most concert venues I have been to.

Thats what it looked like as I read thru the thread. I guess Ticketfly is less corrupt than ticketbastard. Ive never heard of that many people pulling floor tix on TM

My buddy was on right at 10 am though, was on the phone with him, so I have no idea how he didnt get floor but 2 hours later you still could. Shit be messed up

Can you stub me down to the pit, Ghosts?  :-X

Guys from NYC, what time are you all gonna be heading south? I'm tryin' to plan this...
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

jdbartender

I got PIT tix, and I couldn't be happier..  I never sit at a concert anyway, so I don't really get what the big deal is.

This is really my first MMJ concert.  I saw them back in 06 open for Pearl Jam, but I didn't really know any of their material.  I have been hooked now for about 2 years, and I can't wait for May 1st!

ms. yvon
