sweet shirt, and if you do end up going with that as the graphic, you should totally put that line from Way the He Sings on the back of the shirt....my class made shirts last semester for a bar tour, they had writing/graphics on the front and the back, and the only cost $6 per shirt

I e-mailed MPP today about the way they are handling the GA Pit. Figured I'd give you guys a heads up.  Here was my e-mail and their response.

MPP-

I will be attending the My Morning Jacket concert on 5/1 and have a
question concerning the GA Pit.  I am curious how many people will be
allowed in the GA area?  Is it typically jam packed or will you have
your own space provided you are not trying to be one of the first few
close to the stage?

Also will there be any type of security to ensure that people do not
get in there by using a friends ticket when they do not have a ticket
for the GA Pit?

I have GA pit tickets and have never been to MPP and do not know how
they handle such shows.  Please advise to the best of your ability.

their response.

There should be about 1,000 in the Pit area with plenty of security on the
Sides and against the stage. You will trade in your ticket for a wristband
When you enter so no one has tickets to give to others.

1,000 is a pretty big pit!  Weren't people saying it was tiny?

i personally don't care b/c i'm tall, but my gf is not tall and doesn't like the claustrophobic feeling of random people packed around her.  she'll be fine as long as there is some space which is what i was checking.  i figure as long as they regulate the people coming in, then it will be fine.  i was afraid tons of people could stub down and then it could turn into a mess.

no offense to those that didn't get into the pit and planned on stubbing down.  i've stubbed down plenty of times to better seats.

also, looking at the seating chart seems like 1000 is pretty high.  i count about 500 seats in this chart for the pit (the yellow):

i guess if you remove chairs that amount doubles?

I'm making the flag...just got some of the supplies together. Not sure if Penny has figured out how she will be heading. I live in Brooklyn, is there anyone driving from the area? Can I pitch in on gas and catch a ride?

mahg33ta

1000 sounds like a lot to me for a 500 seat area (I agree with your counting btw)!
