I wanted to start this topic to talk about some songs that really stuck out over this tour.   I've been replaying the columbus show in my head ever since!

Its killing my because I can't get a good mp3 of carried away, wonderful and for some reason I dont have where to begin!  and those three songs where amazing in columbus.  For some reason i can't get the mp3 from the show on the 1st the download as mp3s cause I use a mac if anyone could steer me in the right direction.

What was your favorite song played on this last tour?

I have to put dondante up there and move on up.

EasyRyder

(since you already nabbed Dondante..btw it seems to be getting even more of a doomsday jazzy tinge to it)->

I would say, even though they didn't play it a lot, it beats for you was rly solid this tour. I also loved the energy in lay low (esp. at Jazz Fest even though there aren't any recordings/videos that i can find). Finally, mmj playing carnival time with THE Al "Carnival Time" Johnson @ jazz fest was pretty unbelievable. It's not often that a band gets to play a cover while the guy who popularized the song is on stage performing it with them. What a memorable quickie of a tour 'twas...

The complete awesomnity of the back-to-back-to-back-to-backness of these songs at Merriweather was ridiculous.

Lay Low
The Way That He Sings
Wonderful
Carried Away
Steam Engine
Smokin' From Shootin'
Run Thru
Touch Me Pt 2.
Anytime

Insane.

And here's the mp3 from the 1st of Carried Away, http://www.archive.org/download/mmj2010-05-01/mmj2010-05-01d1t13.mp3

and the zip for the whole setlist:

Highlight #1 for me was being over 1000 miles from home, 4th row in the Birmingham Theatre, having been warmed up by Seth's kindness, by good folks at Speakeasy, by PHJB and YY, waiting, waiting, waiting.... Then, keyboard to drums to guitars and lights!  Repeat.  Repeat.  Repeat.  More drums and guitar and LIGHTS!!! Live MMJ!!!  They could have played anything and I'd be in heaven.

Highlight #2 was Where to Begin in Atlanta.

Highlight #3 was probably Dondante live three times in 4 days.

Highlight #4 was the prophetic lyrics of Anytime (also all three times)- "OH, I hope we didn't, hope we didn't wait too long!"

Man, don't get me started!  I best stop here.

I have already posted that His Master's Voice was my highlight.

The other, which I wish I had a picture of, is the time Jim is running around with Pooch's head on while jamming out.  Damn I wish I had a pic of that.

If any anyone has a pic of that please post it.
Pops, Langerado, Lollapalooza, RCMH, Miami Beach, MSG, St Aug, T5.

This must be said:  It's very easy for My Morning Jacket to be your favorite band, because aside from how amazing the music is there's amazing uplifting message in the music that is missing in a lot of music.

I've been in pain and in my head I kept hearing "I feel wonderful...I'm going where theres no fear, ect."

Every day since the concert I have heard wonderful in my head.  It definetly has helped me look on the bright side even if there really isnt one.
