QuoteYa'll got Where to Begin!?! I am so happy for everyone there, but I am sad in my heart place. The song eludes me yet again.

Oh no! I regret to hear of the missing! I'm sure when you DO see it, (and you certainly will!) it will only be most epic!!!

Wow I just went through the handful of 'videos' i took with my digicam (the sound quality is always for shame...) but I managed to tape the whole of Where to Begin, and I forgot when he was ending, he went "Always startin' over, alllllways startin' over, alllways startin' over, alllways startin' over, allways startin' over... but somehow I always know where, to begin..." It was like an onomatopoeia or something, the starting over of the starting over... the act of the act....the sound that self-describes... or something! It set off sparks on ma brain, glad I at least somewhat captured it....

Now, you can't tease us with that mouthwatering description and then not spend all of your efforts making it available to we who drool.  WTB was the highlight of my mini-tour, so I'd love to see this.  Very vivid and I totally understand where your coming from, where your coming from, where your coming from...
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Another great show...I was surprised at how awesome the PHB were. I also like Lay Low and Dancefloors. The show could have went on for longer I thought, it seemed to me that they stopped at 10:30.

Hahahahahah that was a great reply! Good stuff, glad you git me on that!

As far as the vid goes, I was *going* to offer to put it up on youtube, but the sound quality is..... an oxymoron :-/ There's no real quality there.. and when everyone yells and sings it gets real scratchy and crazy... you can follow it, but it's almost like getting a live concert voicemail, with all the crazy buzzing and cutting out, etc, etc.... lots of background noisssse...

But then again I do always still reeeeeeally enjoy any and all live show phone calls.... so based on my own personal theory there, maybe you guys would still like it??

I'll give it my best shot to get it onto youtube! But I'm taaaaaakin' it down if it makes yr ears bleed!!!

Hello everyone.  I've been a long time reader of this forum but I've just never taken the time to join the conversation until now.

I think the first time I heard MMJ was their first appearance on Austin City Limits after Z was released.  Needless to say, I was immediately hooked!  And to make things even better, my wife has become a huge MMJ fan as well!  :)   And until Sunday night, we had yet to have the pleasure of experiencing these guys LIVE!  Let me tell you, that show was certainly worth the wait!!!  8-)  And also let me tell you, I will not be waiting so long to see them live again!   ;)

QuoteToby, great to see you as usual.  We will have a clean bed, cold beer and open arms any time you can to make it to Indy!  You know you hold a special place im my heart, and sorry, but when the light beckons, I gotta go.

Nate, you are a turkey lurkey!!!  Get a name dude, and join the rest of us on this great place.  You will find some very special people on here! And make friends for life that share a lot of the same love. Thanks to you and your crew for being so inviting and fun!

Miss Y, I am so mad that we missed you!  We really looked for you.  How could that have happened??  I needed my "Jim is my heart throb buddy down front!"

Even though, MMJ left off a few of my favorites, I can't get enough. Especially you; yim yames, JJ, Jim James and maybe even SaraBanannaBear?!

I can't wait until we can all get together and celebrate the love!

Jacket Fest 2010 Bitches!!!!!!!!!   Be there!

Hey, sorry I didn't get to meet any of y'all at the show!  I had no internet access at home, so couldn't really do much last-minute coordinating.  Next time!  Welcome N8!

Were any of you standing on the rail in the back of the front (cement) section?  I may have seen some of you and not even known it.  Where were y'all at during the show?!  Luckily I'm just tall enough to have been able to see over the crowd standing where I was.  And I could use the cement wall to stand on my tip-toes if I really needed that extra height.  Plus it was easier to get out to hit the men's room or the beer line.

Great show!  I cannot believe I heard Where to Begin!  And Carl singing lead...I had no idea.  Nice surprise.

The ONLY complaint I have, and this is fairly minor, is that I can never hear the vocals or lead guitars quite enough.  I mean, sometimes they stand out and I can hear them just fine.  Other times, it's like they're lost in a mush of bass and bass drum.  I even noticed this while watching the 'Roo '06 show online.  I just plain couldn't hear Carl on the webcast most of the time.  I dunno.  I've definitely heard worse as far as sound mixing.  It's just not my "ideal" mix at any of their shows so far.  It's weird though, if I closed my eyes, I could hear what was "missing" from the mix with my eyes open.  Again, I'm NOT bitching at all.  It probably has a lot to do with where you're standing.  They still sounded great and it was a great show.
We could.

Hey Kids,

Wow Wow Wow Wow! I have missed this band. I can honestly say that seeing them again felt like a huge, warm hug from above.

The setting/ rain /opening band was a perfect prelude to the show. I really dug that venue. I was able to watch half in the pit and half from all the way atop the venue. I am so glad I got to see it both ways - 2 very different experiences. It is hard for this short gal to see when I am in the first 10-50 rows. I would have been up front with MsY had I known she was in town! :P

Opening with One Big Holiday just ripped. It was mayhem from that moment on..and I mean that in the most rocking way. I had to strain on my tippy toes to see the familiar sites of them rockin' back and forth to the music but HAD to get that in my head. The rest of the night was amazing. I thought the band looked in good health and seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Everyone has said it but Where to Begin was sublime. I loved how Jim added the extra "Always startin' over..." verses. If you must know, I was balling like a child. It felt cathartic though.

Smokin from Shootin is a stunner.

And SING It CARL! That was a nice surprise...

As always, MMJ was completely giving and true. I thank them for each note of music they have played and will ever play.  :-* :-*

TEO nice to see you brother! I am so glad we spotted each other.

Low Down - feel like I've always known ya. and that always seems to be the case when someone is good people, you just know.  You're a good man. :) Joe really enjoyed talking with you too. (steepwater.com)

p.s. I forgot - I'm JacketGal now - when I went to change it back a LONG time ago, someone else had the name....

Cheers y'all!  ;D
But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.
