terrific little show .. FiddleC, sorry i didn't get back to the boards about the ticket. yesterday was crazee and someone off the freak's list spoke for it earlier in the day.

we got some good jim last night ... the show was just shy of an hour and a half. he started out singing a song with kurt wagner of lambchop and i think yo la tango was all out there too .. forget what song. he did Wonderful solo which was fantastic of course. he also did Dear God with the Blind Boys of Alabama. As you all know he is collaborating with The Roots on that song for their new album ... The Roots played @ Celebrate Brooklyn on Sunday evening (free show in prospect park) and I was going to go and the thought occurred .. o0oh what if JJ comes out with them. i ended up not going though and it doesn't seem he was there. I later figured out that it was unlikely as the entire event was about Africa, the World Cup and hiphop  ;)

thanks for posting the pictures .. i was sitting not too far behind you. can't wait for Appalachian Voices on the 30th !!

Jim was not at Prospect Park on Sunday unfortunately. However the Roots were great. It was also the most crowded I have ever seen the Prospect Park stage.  Wish i could have made it to this last night but a work happy hour got in the way.

That was a fun show, too. The Roots are the 4th band I've seen cover "Move On Up"  ;D

So was it just the three songs then that Jim performed on?  The one with Kurt Wagner, Wonderful and Dear God?

Anybody know what the song was he did with Kurt?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.
