In another time, in another place, in another face

O
MY
GOD
!!!!

Jim James AS Bob Dylan a la Rolling Thunder.  Going to Acapulco!

I officially just shit myself!

This movie just went from 'looks kind of interesting' to 'top-of-the list-must-see!'
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Does anyone know the release date on this?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

'Wearing White Face', how racially insensitive.... ::)

If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.

i am confused.

is jim james just on the soundtrack or will he be appearing in the film playing the song?
cheers.

aMD

from what I can tell he will be on the soundtrack AND in the movie performing the song as bob dylan (the white face the guy refers to is the pancake makeup bob dylan wore for whatever reason during the rolling thunder revue tour).

What I'm wondering is if Jim will have any lines as dylan or if he's just performing the song.  That was a crazy fucked up time period in dylan's career.  I've only seen snippets of Jim acting but I wonder if he can pull it off.  as a performer dylan is much more stoic and less emotive than jim and in real life jim is nice and approachable, dylan is... well, not.

BH

I just thought of something.

How in the hell can Jim do this -->

without shaving his beard?  :-/

I guess if a girl can play Dylan, than someone with a beard can play Dylan.

Wow, cool surreal shot! Thanks 4 posting Ms. Cake.  What's the story with the woman  in the coffin? Hey this is from the same director as Velvet Goldmine right. This should be awesome!

Yeah, if it actually is released (has taken so long but now it says Sept. 7th). Todd Haynes is one of my favorite directors. Safe and Far From Heaven are must-sees too.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

aMD

what could possibly be going on in that picture?  man, this movie is either going to be genius or unintelligible.  probably both.

The thought of Stephen Malkmus and Lee Renaldo doing ANYTHING together is almost to much to handle.
There's Still Time.........
