Fake Tickets - T5

I'm hearing some rumors about fake tickets on craigslist for the 5 night run. I'm seeing crazy prices for Z and EU. I got a Z ticket off of craigslist for my girlfriend today - face value. seller seemed okay. the ticket looks legit next to mine.... but i'm just skeptical. any advice on spotting fakes? anyway it could be verified before the show?

Maybe its been outdated, but ive always use the lighter trick. put a lighter under the non scan side of a ticket, not close enough to burn it but make a mark. If it leaves a black dot, its legit. If it turns some other color, Fugazi!

exactly. i have too. i got a weird feeling about this one. i think i might take the extra to a ticketmaster outlet, see what they can do.

i know my 5 day pass is legit. FTW!

You can still do the scratch and lighter test. Don't stress it too much.  Also this hacksaw dude sounds like a total tool.

there's an ap for that.

i have one on my droid called "barcode scanner" (pretty sure there's one for iPhone too).  you can scan anything w/ a barcode.  never used it to verify a concert ticket, but maybe that'd work?

That's why this event should have been in the Ville.  I think all shows would have sold out long ago here.  Seems the Jacket is doing more for NY than NY is doing for the Jacket.  Could have done EU and Z in Ny.  Then came home and performed the oldies.  People in Ny obviously don't understand how good TTF and AtDawn will be with a 10 year old Jacket.
