i think this is all happening for a reason..

if any of you have ever been to joe's pub, then you know just how intimate and special the Carl thing is going to be..the guitarist in your favorite band doing a solo show a few feet from you and you look over and see 30 people from the online community you love sitting around a table there with stars in their eyes, too..

versus some stuffy Beacon theater benefit show with elton john and Am Ex holders like my boss and his wife there, seated way back in nose bleeds..great cause, but i just don't see why this has ever been a choice..also this is in a different cool part of the city so it mixes things up a little bit..

This Joe's Pub thing is gonna be off the hook, trust me!
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

i hate to not go to this but between the ramble>T5>carl>Phish .. i'm tapped out + penny is right, carl is gonna be a great night. looking forward to reviews of this though !!!!!

I'll catch the revue at Bridge School, though sans Jim.  So I don't feel too badly about missing the NY date.

So did anyone end up going to this? I'd love to see a setlist or read a review...

i didnt even realize this was the wednesday of T5 until just now. honestly i'd say everyone going to Carl's show was the right choice.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I think wonderful was the only song JJ led on.

I heard Look at You as well.
Some girls mothers are bigger than others girls mothers...

Prom King

to confirm...

it was Wonderful and Look At You...

he did these completely solo, no backing at all...

he got a big applause for the guitar beat thing he does at the end of Look At You...

Elvis Costello was MCing and seemed really impressed when he came out after Yim...

he asked Yim to come back out for some more applause, but modest Yim never came back out.
