My possibly favorite part of the NYC "downtime" experience was the total anonymity. I feel like it's so damn crazy up there, you can do about anything you like (as long as you're parked legally!)  :P Walk into a coffee shop and just plug yer computer in, charge your camera... hell, don't even have to buy a thing if you don't want to, no one even notices you! Sleep in your car... hey there's a guy 5 blocks away sleepin on a bench, you've got it good!

that is TOTALLY my most favorite thing about living here .. love this place!

You can sleep in your car??? And to think I could have driven there and not spent all that money sharing that apartment!  ;D
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

chimay = yummy at anytime of day (or night)

i've lived in ny and worked in nyc my whole (adult) life and still think some of the best things about nyc are found in either central park or the village.

anything goes here, people are (mostly) friendly, and this place is incredibly tolerant of all types.

not to mention that musically, nyc is the best as you get the chance to see so many awesome bands roll thru.   might not be for everyone but it works for me.  8-)
was some shakin' and some record playin'

My favorite downtime photograph: when Steam Engine ran to take a picture of the dogs with the red boots. Two weeks later it still makes me laugh.

2nd favorite...cramming into the booth at the Museum of Natural History for this awesome souvenir photo:
