My possibly favorite part of the NYC "downtime" experience was the total anonymity. I feel like it's so damn crazy up there, you can do about anything you like (as long as you're parked legally!)  :P Walk into a coffee shop and just plug yer computer in, charge your camera... hell, don't even have to buy a thing if you don't want to, no one even notices you! Sleep in your car... hey there's a guy 5 blocks away sleepin on a bench, you've got it good!

that is TOTALLY my most favorite thing about living here .. love this place!

i've lived in ny and worked in nyc my whole (adult) life and still think some of the best things about nyc are found in either central park or the village.

anything goes here, people are (mostly) friendly, and this place is incredibly tolerant of all types.

not to mention that musically, nyc is the best as you get the chance to see so many awesome bands roll thru.   might not be for everyone but it works for me.  8-)
