Yim Yames to perform at National Christmas Tree Lighting

On Thursday, December 9, 2010, at 5:00 pm ET Yim Yames will perform at this year's 2010 National Christmas Tree Lighting on the Ellipse at President's Park in Washington, D.C.. The ceremony will usher in the holiday season and can be viewed live online at www.thenationaltree.org and on public television throughout the month of December. Wow! This is a nice surprise, though kind of strange too. I don't know if I've ever watched a National Christmas Tree Lighting...I'd imagine the President is there?

Other performers are BB King, Maroon 5, and Sara Bareilles.  No mention of YY on the official site yet: http://www.thenationaltree.org/

Going to have to watch this on the tele, cause i trip to Washington @ the moment isn't in my budget with the holiday season coming upon us.  That said i Wish i could go but looking forward to hearing Yim again!

his is pretty cool...i watched it last year when ray lamontagne was on....it's a very sedate sort of performance (ya know, in my opinion) and the first family is there (behind bullet proof glass).....good for yy

i say he should sing....um.......yeah, whatever he sings will be magic :)

I think giving Wonderful (The Way I Feel) some national exposure would be appropriate for this event, its a beautiful, wishful song of peace and some promotion for the new album due out in the spring.
