Gotta say that might have been the most unique show I have ever seen.  Patrick rockin' like the whole band was there and Jim playin the bass like I've never heard.  FUNKY!!!!
Met Cory and Dillion really cool peeps.  Met Jim and Patrick for the first time.

My buddy filmed the whole show, I know nothing about uploading and sharing but when I get a copy if it is worth it I will learn and share with all you folks.  Best part was right before Jim played Wonderful and Bermudah Highway, he asked everyone to STFU in a nice way of course.  ;D Gotta get to bed now.  Amazing 2 man show, Amazing........
Y'all got any disco ball back there?

rusty95

Also the I'll be home for xmas reminded me of Black Sabbath really creepy. Never seize to blow my mind.

Honestly one of most unique/amazing nights of my life. Met Jim and got his hancock on the show poster. All the acts were really great. Cabin blew my mind. All for a 20$ ticket. Ive never seen a bass rocked like that. What a night!

It was also nice to briefly meet twofingers/darkglow/amilliondreams.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

darkglow

Wow I don't think I'll ever be able to come up with the words to describe what we saw last night.

RastaRunner5

looking forward to hearing a recording of this

e_wind

somebody please tell me they filmed a song or two for youtube. I got Ill Be Home For Xmas on on my phone but the quality is only so good and it takes so damn long to upload. Audio would be cool too, if the recordings turned out at all.

Well try, 'cause inquiring minds want to know...  :D
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

I don't think anyone could've possibly imagined or been let down by what happened last night. Going in thinking your seeing a calm acoustic set then being ROCKED like that by two people was amazing.

My Morning Jacket - I'll Be Home For Xmas - 12.26.10

picture quality sucks, but you can get an idea of the bass/drum sounds that were going on. mustve been using some kind of crazy pedals.

He had six different things hooked up to a pedal, hooked up to his bass guitar...it was ridiculous. I was at the front of the stage on the left, so when he brought all his gear out it was right in front of me. I have no idea what all the things were, though...just different knobs and adjustments and etc...

darkglow

That was so very mind blowing. These dudes are changing the way music is played on so many levels. Jim James is on some other plain right now; it's like the way he's playing an instrument is the way he'd prefer to communicate with the world. I'm driving home. I'll post more thoughts later. Un fucking believable

first of all, it was nice to briefly meet brian porter....and his recording equipment.  thanks again to all the tapers out there.

scott carney was a fun opener, "psycho killer" killed.

the watson twins were lovely, too damn much talking while they played, though.

ben solee is a freak of nature.  the sounds he squeezes from that cello are other-worldly.

cabin was a big surprise.  never even heard of them, they were great.

as for jim and patrick, really, you get to a point where you run out of superlatives to describe these guys.    that freaky/funky groove that surfaced throughout their set, the sheer force of patrick pounding his drum kit, jim wailing on that distorted bass, his kindly way of asking everyone to shut the hell up and listen to the soft songs, and that voice.......damn, definitely some non-sexual man-love going on here.

haven't had a chance to review the video i took, if it's worth a damn i'll be sure to post it.

it was well worth getting only 4 hours sleep last night.   now it's time for a long winter's nap.

and just as i say i'm running out of ways to describe these guys, you post the bestest description ever.

ho-ly crap......just blown away by the videos,  must have been unreal in person! yay for all you guys! ;D

wow, didn't even remember getting all of this.   pretty lousy quality sound and video, but it's still pretty cool.
