Anybody heard this record?  I was in Detroit this weekend and their weekly entertaiment mag was saying it was great...??

I listened to the first five tracks or so in the store, and I have read good reviews of this new album "Echoes".  The songs did not say to me that this is a must buy, so of course I did not purchase the record.  I guess I am just not in the mood right now for this type of music.  They fit into the whole Interpol genre nicely, reminded me of the Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen at times.  Maybe it is a record that grows upon you but I simply was not in the mood for it at this time.  Other people are sure to disagree, but I don't see the hype at the moment.

I think the Interpol record sucks so I'll probably avoid but I'll give it a chance on the listening station.
