yes, i thought they were stoners cos they play stoner rock and they just kinda seemed that way when i saw em on the teevee, not because of their hair ::) i know stoners with long hair and i know stoners with shaved heads, so that wasnt it.

i think of stoner rock as rock that isnt just rock. its definetly got the roots of rock, but it wavers from that pretty narrow description. see with MMJ, they have total head-banger rock, that flows into sometimes down-on-the-bayou ballads, to bold arena-like echoes. at least in my mind, some stoner rock bands (that not all nececarily contain stoners) are the smashing pumpkins, radiohead, U2, the beatles, pink floyd, zappa, etc...
