I thought this thread was a good one to update.

Mr. White is Harvey Keitel's character's name in Reservoir Dogs. I like Harvey and Reservoir Dogs.

Best movie ever.   Did you see they are releasing the soundtrack on vinyl on record store day and it will come in Pink, White, Black, Brown, Green, etc?    How awesome is that.

I would hope for Pink.   Even when discussing Boardwalk Empire I call him Mr. Pink.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Shug

My boardname is a nickname given to me by my chef back when I was cooking.  Its short for "sugar" and is probably mispronounced by most who just read it.  Apparently I was overly excited in describing to my chef some dessert I had come up with and used the word sugar about 7 times in my overly-long description (somethings don't change ).  I do like desserts so it fits and it stuck.
"Some like their water shallow, I like mine deep"

peafunk31

It's a nickname a few high school friends gave me (minus the 31). The 1st 3 letters of my last name are Pea. Plus we used to go to a bunch of Parliament Funkadelic shows. Blammo! Peafunk was born.
Homer no function beer well without.

HansAndreas

Hans is my father. I'm Andreas.

ManNamedTruth

Great thread bump!
Well mine might seem obvious, in reference to the MOF song. I chose it because my last name is True, so I'm literally a man named truth.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

jcoyote

I am a very big Jupiter Coyote fan.  Alas, they don't put records out any longer, but still play a couple gigs every now and then.  Atlanta/Greenville in December!

All very good friends of mine and super nice guys to boot.  John Felty still plays an incredible slide, although I don't get to see him play it much any longer.

iLikeBeer

I think mine is pretty self explanitory...

I like beer so much, I now make my own!

My kids' middle names are Zane and Jamisen = zanjam.  It's been in my email address for quite some time, too.  When I signed up for the forum I just picked it since I couldn't think of anything else at the time, and then realized you couldn't change it afterwards.  So zanjam it is.

I feel like I just lost cool points.

Nah, no way. At least not with any of us other parents on the forum. I like the thinking behind it, but not sure if mine would be as cool as yours.....Rosmat.  (Rose & Matthew)  Meh.
Well, ericm, aren't you going to explain yours

Ooh!  Just found this.  I've never seen Reservoir Dogs in the theater, but I think I saw Pulp Fiction 5x!

Nope!

The Eric is self explanatory, but as for the m...... well a guy's gotta have a little mystery about him, no?

I just got done listening to this 12 min. long song, and I like it a lot. It sounds like jazz-rock fusion with a bit of Grateful Dead mixed in (especially the drums jam near the end).

nice if i turned one person on I feel accomplished. The slip began as a jazz/world fusion/jamband and were def influenced by the dead. they went into more indie rock during the 2000's. They opened for MMJ on several dates during the Z tour and closed out MMJ's 2 performances with the Boston Pops.

Yes! Reservoir Dogs is my favorite move of all time too! I got out of the military in late Feb. of 1993, and the movie had come out the year before. I didn't know anything about it until I rented it on video tape. After seeing it, I was obsessed with it for quite a while. A friend of mine from the service lived a few hundred miles north of me in central Illinois, and we would occasionally meet half-way between his house and mine in a national forest in southern Illinois to get back to nature. Needless to say, the perfect music was always a must on these occasions. Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa and a few others were in a constant rotation. Well, after turning my friend on to Reservoir Dogs the previous time we hung out at his house, he had become almost as obsessed with the movie as I had. We got all "tuned up" in the woods, and he put a tape into his car's tape player (with speakers sitting on the roof) and said to just wait and listen. He had recorded the entire movie's audio! My brother was along for this trip and we all got so into listening to the movie at full volume in the woods that we almost couldn't take it. All kinds of connections (real and not real) were made that day. After we started to chill out a bit, we decided to drive about an hour to Carbondale (where Southern Illinois University is located) to see what was going on in the little college town. WE FOUND A MIDNIGHT SHOWING OF RESERVOIR DOGS PLAYING!!! Our trip was complete! My brother later got me the Mr. White and Mr. Orange action figures for Christmas and a set of screenplay books of all of Quentin's movies he had written up to that point (Natural Born Killers, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction). I don't get out to the movies much any more (I usually buy DVD's instead), but I never miss a Quentin Tarantino movie in the theater. I can't wait for his new one, Django Unchained, to come out this December!

Ha!  Awesome story man.    Those nights where things just click are so memorable aren't they?   That's really cool.    I'm envisioning the Mr. Orange in the back seat scene turned up loud in the woods.

mahg33ta

my name was my computer password for login at work for many years.   I needed something 8 characters with numbers in the middle.    The guidelines suggested picking a word and changing some Es to 3s or Is to 1s or As to @s.    I happened to be listening to mahgeetah at the time.    Yes I know the song has an H at the end, turns out it's 9 characters.

Pretty unexciting, I realize, but now you know too....

lpkell2145

It's the initials of my first name, maiden name, and then my last name. The number is completely random. Riveting I know. My nickname is LPK but that seemed too short too for a username.

20 times I wish you'd understand...

I'm from Iowa, the Hawkeye State, home of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes...with no pro sports teams, college sports are big in Iowa.
We could.

Ruckus

Well it started as BringdaRuckus but it was always a nod to Elizabethtown but with a little Wu Tang love.  It became tedious so it was shortened.
