Interpol/Q not U

short but brilliant sets by Interpol and Q not U at the Brown Theater in Louisville last night...

"brilliant" is a good adjective due to the "bright lights" (hahahhaha) they had onstage with them.  VERY fucking bright lights, strobes that still cloud my vision with their balls of orange gooey-ness floating in front of me!

awesome show.  very killer.  any heads there?

Was it the baby's first show?  I thought you would wait and take her to Bonnaroo.  I saw Interpol at Bogart's last month, and you are right, the lights/smoke definitely dominate the show.  It was so hard to see the band, which prevented me from knowing if they were really enjoying themselves.  I always look for that at concerts, are they enjoying themselves?

now now that's all too exciting for amelia, after all she's only three weeks old!

they smiled as if to appear to be enjoying themselves and were quite polite to the audience.  i do recall them having a rep for being really fucking nice.

nope, haven't seen the merediths yet.  help me out, what do they sound like?  i'm a bit behind these days.

i'm thinking i'll have to skip KOL until next time.  :-[ but that's what dads do!  ;)

Don't miss the features they are really, really good.  They opened for MMJ the first time I saw them in Knoxville and I went out and got the cd.  It's fantastic.  That should be a great show.

Yes I'm going to Kings of Leon.Saw them with John thelast time they came through town.It should be a great show and I love the new disc

Both bands rocked the house

I met Paul, Daniel, and Carlos D behind the venue! They signed my ticket.

Sam was not to be seen but one of the roadies gave me one of Pauls picks he left on stage.

Q and not U were suprisingly good.

EDIT: I was at the Bogarts show as well, and it was very hard to see, but last night I could see Paul and the boys just fine.
