I'm fine with their stance. I'm not fine they waited this long. I guess I have a free day in Raleigh now.

Yeah, I felt the same when Bruce canceled two days before the show but I'm sure he and PJ both had their reasons for not canceling sooner. Being a long time a Bruce fan, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt on this and know it wasn't done this way to intentionally screw fans who had tix.

From what I've heard there was the possibility of an emergency session in NC prior to Bruce canceling and he was hoping that would repeal this law somehow, and the show could still go on. Perhaps PJ was hoping for something similar, and finally just couldn't wait any longer.
"Where's Jim going?"

Ed talked about it a bit last night, mostly rehashed what was in the statement. When he started talking about it there was a mix of boos and cheers and he say "I'm not sure if you're booing us or mad at the bill".  It was hard for me to tell as well.  This area is fairly right leaning so I'm sure there were some boos for the band's opposition of HB2.
Don't you ever turn it off

Departing for New Orleans tomorrow morning -- if you see me during the PJ set at JazzFest, say hello! I'll be wearing a ridiculously large hat and (most likely) a Wu-Tang shirt. Let's rock!!!!

Cameron

Great show in Columbia. Looking forward to another one (and some bourbon) in Lexington on Tuesday.

LBSUNFLWR

we watched the Pearl Jam 20 documentary by Cameron Crowe last night. I liked it.
Getting so excited for the show in KY tomorrow night. we have terrible seats and I heard Rupp Arena isn't very nice but...oh well!

slappymoe

The worst thing about Rupp is bleacher seating in the upper arena. Tough on the back and butt. Maybe they've upgraded since I was there in '03.

Standing is probably the best option.

LBSUNFLWR

yeah, we are up high in the shitty seats but we took what we could get.

dmooney99

seeing them in philly and MSG in a few days, can't wait!  although i still need a ticket for MSG 1  :embarrassed:

LBSUNFLWR

APR

A lot of rare songs in Lex.  I'm glad it was so good..... especially considering your seats.
Three hours is the norm this spring.  I'm looking forward to more ridiculousness the next two nights in Philly.

LBSUNFLWR

yeah, we never even went all the way up to our real seats. Found a half empty row about halfway up the upper level and stayed there the whole show. Still, downstairs must have been even more incredible.

I saw PJ in '94 and '98 and then last night!! pretty remarkable. They're surely up there with the best live bands touring today.

Cameron

That was my 19th show last night and I'd rank it #2. Really great crowd too.
