Now I've got to go find something to wipe off my screen! I just spewed milk all over it after that. Perfect comic timing! Not that being jewish is hilarious or anything ;D ;D ;D ;D
Wish I had this last week when I was putting up my Christmas Tree! lol

Very nice. Judging by the tracks, the band is ready to get home for the holidays. They deserve some family time. They've been working hard this year.

same here...the record store i called knew nothing of it
Amoeba Records in SF didn't even know about it...
To second it, the interview is very good. The questioner is dry but what he asked brought out some very insightful answers. The last question let us know that Jim's ultimate idea is for all of us to stay at home and enjoy ourselves with his new technology. ;D
In the interview they mention that one of the songs is by The Band anyone know which one it is?

Christmas Must Be Tonight. I felt so stupid when I heard this song and thought, "this sounds like I Shall Be Released" and then I looked it up and found out it was by The Band.
I am sure this is worth $5, and I will download tonight, but aren't releases like this why we joined Roll Call?

that's crazy dan...i figured the smaller one in ttown might not know but i am totally surprised that a bigger one like amoeba didn't know anything about it. if my store has it i am gonna get as many as they will let me for folks on here that don't get one...it's looking like they might be hard to come by
i mean i feel as though we deserve it...especially more than some random casual fan that happens to walk into the record store the day it's released..my luck i will have to work that day
I love mmj, but i am not a fan of this holiday music crap. have they released xmas songs in the past?

I love this album and the holiday vibes!

Billy Idol - Jingle Bell Rock (2006) [HQ] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqUu4EkLGHo#)
Does Xmas Fiasco Style... the Xmas EP with X Mas Curtain, I Just Wanted To Say, New Morning, Santa Clause is Back in Town, and a hidden track.
I think Jim is a big fan of the holidays.
I don't know if youre the type to gather tons of different versions of different songs, but this EP s worth it for Wonderful (b e a utiful version) and Welcome Home. I like the xmas songs, since I'm a big fan of the Santa Claus, Xmas Trees, etc part of christmas
the interview .... !!!!!!
the description of xmas curtain. awesome.
So, if I don't have Itunes am I just out of luck?
This may be a stretch, but as a Christmas album I like this one better than Does Xmas Fiasco Style.
What a year this has been, MMJ
P.S. Wonderful made me levitate.

My favorite part of the interview is when Jim says that the He-Man/She-Ra Christmas Special is their favorite. ;D

yeah that was subtle, but I was laughing. Also when Pat says "that was carl and it was a load of crap, hes the most productive person I know" or something along those lines.
I haven't downloaded this yet (in progress), can't wait, but some comments above had me thinking.
Just as with Live at the Palms, wouldn't this iTunes EP ONLY be available as a digital download, not on vinyl, CD, or other medium?
I was going to say you don't need iTunes to buy this, but I am wrong. I thought there was an iTunes website alternative to downloading the iTunes program, but then remembered this is Apple we're talking about, so...

bought this thinking Friends Again and Outta My System (Mix 2) was on it. oh well. somebody should pm the mp3s if they feel like being nice.
I think my favorite is "I'll Be Home For Christmas" LOVE the stand up bass and the piano (sounds like the head and the heart on piano) Jim's singing makes me want to curl up beside the fireplace with some eggnogg and melt into the blur of the christmas tree lights.
"Welcome Home" is such a beautiful sentiment. I used to say that to people when the light finally clicked for them with this band.
Friend: Holy Shit, you were so right about Don Dante
Me: Welcome Home :)
Loved Bo's answers about finding his place in the band *sniff sniff*....great interview session
I'm pretty pissed at the moment because when i tried to purchase this it said it was not available in my country... :'(

Just the thing to put me in the holiday spirit! I feel so spoiled by mmj this year. This and one week until MSG. What a great week of music!
i'm thinking the one thing this EP is missing is a little Carl sax work

5 days since the last post on their new X-Mas EP just 5 days before X-Mas?!? Really?
These tunes are giving me a needed boost and escape tonight while stringing the lights on my tree during a difficult time for our family.
I'm a sucker for the pedal steel and Carl comes through big time on almost all of these tunes. Christmas Must Be Tonight and Welcome Home are particularly sweet.
I just burned a copy for my Mum, she always likes the MMJ I give her! What a fantastic album.... definitely getting me pumped for Xmas :-D I usually start getting excited the week of, so here goes! :)

Happy Holidays to you and your family, as well, Johnny.
I'm so glad that you and the rest of the forum faithful had such a great time and a great show at MSG.
You might have seen that BrooklynVegan's coverage of the show featured, as their last image, the real time posts I was making of the MSG show from the texts I was getting from NN on the rail (this was totally spontaneous). Oddly, the same website had me in the first image of the 2008 NYE show standing near the rail next to a guy in 2009 glasses. Bookends on the MSG shows, I suppose.
I am in love with this EP. I must have listened to it 5 time today. It was a good day!
Good grief! I can't get enough of this album! ::)
I'm diggin' Jim's voice, and also the rendition of WONDERFUL! Seems like they took into account the ahem, critics, ahem, claims that Wonderful was Golden number two. The Head and the Heart add to the greatness!
