1. ...you can picture Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts dancing to it.

Can't wait until the - "You know It's a GREAT MMJ Song When"..... thread is started. ;)
When you find a video of yourself dancing naked at the show.
My Morning Jacket - Off The Record, MSG, Stripper (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQRPNQN6L6k#)
Also, if you go to youtube and read the comments, the naked guy speaks. He almost died that night.

Wow! I knew that Naked guy was in real bad shape. Unfortunately, I've seen enough of that kind of scene over the years to know he was in deep shit. We passed him over the rail right between me and the guy to my left. He pretty much passed out right as we caught him, and got him over the rail to security. I can still see his eyes roll back in his head, and then he just went limp.(no pun intended)
I've thought about him a few times, but could never find any info. I'm sure I would've read somewhere if he didn't make it, and I'm glad to know he pulled through. From the comments, it seems like this scared him straight.

??? Nah, not me Fully, I like the ladies.
You can still knock at a lady's back door...she may not let you in, but if you're singing Phonr Went West, your chances go up 69%
I like the direction this thread has taken. You are all some pervy people. It makes
me feel safe, which is generally antithetical amongst the pervily persuaded.
I like the "if there's a wrong, I'll make it right" part. It appeals to the lady parts in all of us. Particularly those of us with lady parts.

Not YOUR back door! :o I just sometimes imagine that song isn't about a lovesick guy who wants his girlfriend to take him back. In the versions of the song where Jim changes the words to "back door", I sometimes wonder if it's also about a guy trying to negotiate a little back door loving. Obviously that's not what it's about, but sometimes verse can have more than one meaning. Plus after the umpteenth listen to that song, it gives me something different to think about. And after meeting you, you really just don't give off that kind of vibe. Sorry about that. I wasn't thinking how that would look.

Haha. You're asking me? I have a tough enough time remembering what day it is lately. ;) I've got Springsteen show fever, and whenever another thought enters my mind lately, it's been kicked out real quick in favor of " Bruce shows coming soon, Bruce shows coming soon" over and over. ;D
Pretty hard for me going over blue prints, and getting proposals together when Bruce and MMJ shows are looming. I find myself having to triple check my numbers that I have triple checked at least three times already! ;D See what I mean? I can't even make a coherent sentence. :)

...when Tom's bass causes invitro fertilization and you don't even have a womb.
...when Carl's guitar causes you to look at the guy next to you and smile.
....when Bo's playing dirty.

...when Jim's voice makes you think of Angels.
....when Jim is doing that stanky leg dance he does.
...when they jam a little longer and groove a little groovier.

I wish that worked with my kids. They are in the "hate it because mom likes it" stage - middle school kids can be such fartbutts.
You know it's a good MMJ song when...
...Carl rocks himself horizontal (memories of Mahgeetah at Merriweather, 2010)
...Jim rocks the donkey head (memories of Off the Record in Philly, 2010)

Peafunk Baby Watch? How's it going!? ;)
We found out last Friday that we are having a baby girl! Pretty insane as Mrs. Peafunk was positive baby Peafunk was a boy.
Unfortunately, we also found out on Tuesday that baby Peafunk has a heart defect. The 2 main arteries that exit the heart (1 takes oxygen rich blood to the body & the other goes to the lungs to be replenished with oxygen) are switched. As it is now, the arteries are reversed. It was an extreme shock when we found out. A few days after baby Peafunk is born she will have heart surgery. The procedure is not uncommon & the success rate is 98% - 99%. After meeting with the medical staff at CHOP we are feeling better about the news. CHOP is one hell of a hospital & the doctor was very reassuring. We are feeling confident that things will work out well.
Thanks for thinking of us & baby Peafunk, Penny!

98-99% success rate sounds great to me...the heart is one of those things they can do amazing things with...my uncle's had a pig valve for most of his life! ..we'll continue to think good thoughts for baby girl Peafunk...(incidentally Peafunk is NOT a bad name for a little girl rapper).
Good luck Peafunk. Hopefully all will be fine and not have any long-term impact. Learning how to worry is unfortunately part of the training for Parenthood. It starts at (or usually before) birth and never really goes away.
Sending out positive vibes and wishing you both all the best.
I'm glad the drs. know what they are dealing with and can fix it. Headhunter is correct about parents worrying about their kids. I hope everything goes well and may your child be healthy and happy and be a great sleeper.
Tough way to start out, but everything will be fine. I am amazed at the state of cardiac medicine right now. Good luck and keep us up to date. What's the release date, so to speak?
Release date is August 20th. As much as I'd like to like to honor Penny's suggestion of steering baby Peafunk to a blossoming rap career, we think we'll go with a more traditional name than Peafunk. We're currently leaning towards Aubrey Anne.
Thanks for the good vibes & thoughts, all! This forum never ceases to lift my spirits :)
Best of luck with your new arrival, peafunk.
You're in good hands with CHOP.
I'll say a special prayer for your little one, Peafunk, so she's always protected...I know how terrifying it can be when they tell you that your little one, yet to arrive, could be sick. They told me that my son could have Downs Syndrome. It's a terrifying moment as a parent when all you want to do is protect them. But it teaches you so much about strength and love, as I'm sure you know. She will be totally fine!!!! And on a side note, start drinking tea with non-hydrogenated coconut oil. Studies out of the Harvard School of Medicine have shown that it has UNBELIEVABLE healing power for the heart...and can even eliminate scar tissue in patients with wounds from heart operations...it could really help! I'm praying for you!!!
