The more I watch movies that I really love, the more I realize how difficult it must be to make a movie that is flawless the whole way through.

I'm asking YOU what is the most PERFECT MOVIE EVER MADE??????

I mean you have to rely on so many variables..(actors, script, direction, set design, soundtrack, cinematography, etc. etc.)
There's Still Time.........

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Either that or The Electric Cowboy.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.  That movie really touched me....

I remember the scene Kate Winslet and Jim Carry had on the train as being some of the most heart felt and honest moments between actors that I've ever seen.

Good call.

I'll have to check out "The Electric Cowboy"

Not sure about the most perfect movie ever made but Dances With Wolves, Amelie, Cinema Paradiso & Goodfellas have been in my Top10 for many years.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I must preface by saying Heist and prison break movies are always at the top of my list (Allthough Into the Wild has been haunting my dreams - the last hour of the movie is just fucking spectacular).  So...

Reservoir Dogs.  I loved Pulp Fiction too and then Tarantino spirals into his own ego.
Dogday Afternoon.
I'm not saying it's easy...walking into sweet oblivion.

What'd you think of Jackie Brown?

What'd you think of Jackie Brown?

Not for me.  It had moments ("When you have to kill every motherfucker in the room...), but it seemed like a movie made by a guy overly obsessed with marginal genres or styles of movie making.  I'd love to see him try a big, over-the-top war epic.  His most underrated work was Killing Zoe - he wrote the screenplay.  Also a heist movie.

megisnotreal

oh snap i forgot casablanca...

...and the royal tennenbaums

My favorite's are

Metropolis

If they trimmed it it down to an hour and a half I might have been able to stay conscious through it.  Maybe I will take some no-doze and give it another shot  :).

To enjoy that movie, you'd either have to be a total dork like me or you'd have to be using some sort of medicinal aide, I guess.

8-)

It's like Mad Max 2, though. Except on water.
