QuoteSteelers 11
Chargers 10
First ever 11-10 score in NFL history. A bizarre ending with Polamalu appearing to break up a desperation lateral, and taking it in for a touchdown to make the game 17-10. One of the laterals was called illegal (bullshit) wiping out the touchdown.

Reason #57 I don't bet on sporting events. Imagine the agony of having picked the Steelers -4.5, to see Polamalu score that to push you into a W, only to have it erased and you're back in the red.

no thanks

I hope Cleveland plays well again on MNF. They actually did the Giants a favor by beating us. I would hate to have the pressure of going undefeated. They probably lost that game on purpose anyway. It would be wild if the G-Men end up playing the undefeated Tenn Titans in the Super bowl this year. Imagine two years in a row that the Giants beat undefeated teams in the SB!

Below are some good quotes from the beaten up and broken down Ravens. Ray Lewis wouldn't admit that he sucks though. But his teamates did.

Q. The Giants did a real good job running the ball today...

A. They did a good job, you've got to give them credit. I mean I didn't feel like we played like we normally do...I personally didn't play like I normally do. I mean we've just got to work everything out for next week's game.

Q. Does the defense take a game like this personally? You guys let up a ton of yards on the ground.

A. Hell yeah, we're going to take this game personally. If we didn't take it personally, it would mean that we didn't care. We've just got to fix the things that went wrong today for us today and not let a team run on us like this again.

DT Trevor Pryce

Q. How tough is it to bring down a guy like Brandon Jacobs?

A. It not really that it's him that's so tough to bring down...I actually think that Ahmad Bradshaw ran better than Jacobs did. It's really that it's so tough to bring either of them down, it's just that the holes they were running through were so big. The holes were gaping...gaping...if you give any NFL back holes like that, he's going to look like Gale Sayers. It wasn't so much that they were ultra-special, but it was more that we were ultra-bad.

Q. Did this kind of loss surprise you?

A. Yeah, it really did surprise us, to tell you the truth, but I mean when you're playing the champs, you know ahead of time that if you don't bring your A+++ game, you're going to be in trouble.

LB Ray Lewis

Q. Did it surprise you guys that Giants ran the ball so much?

A. No, absolutely not, they're the number one rushing team in the league, we came into the game expecting that. The bottom line is that you've got to keep playing no matter what. When you've got a guy four yards behind the line of scrimmage you've got to make that play. I mean that's really how the Giants got a lot of their big plays today, because of missed tackles. We make those plays 1000 times out of 1000 times but when you don't make those plays you're going to give up the big play. Here's the bottom line: this was our last game of our three-game road trip, we're coming home now with a 6-4 record...that's nothing to drop our heads about. I mean, you've got to know if you give up so many big plays it's going to be hard to win the game.

Q. Is there one thing in particular that didn't go well today?

A. Yeah absolutely, we had problems with overpursuing. That's something that we don't do, bottom line...we don't normally let backs get outside and that's something that we pride ourselves in, but they were able to do it today. I mean there are always going to be days where you aren't "great."

I respect Ray as a player but i've never liked him.  He will never admit he got beat up.  Giants 3rd string running back ran for 96 yards on 9 carries.

I agree with the losing to Cleveland.  You need a good wake up call.  If they went straight through the playoffs last year and came out 10-0 this year i'd be a lot more worried.

LOL  ;D  Yeah, the Browns play well under the lights on Monday night!
They are a good team that played a hard schedule. The Browns are the only team that beat the Giants and the G-Men are considered the best team in the NFL right now. I'm happy that Brady Quinn finally got his shot to play this season. He lead them down the field for the game winning field goal last night!

I have mixed feelings about my surging Bengals.  I want a good draft pick and a new coach, but beating Pittsburgh is always priority one.

No need for mixed feeling aMD, because after your Bungals look like a D2 NCAA team vs us, youll be glad for your higher draft pick  :)

although at this point, I would think youre almost a shoe-in for #2 though since DET will get #1 and I cant think of any teams with less than 3 wins off the top of my head, no?

"All it was was dogs. They act like they don't even like pit bulls anyway. That's the funny thing about it if you want to get back on that topic. I got pit bulls, I got to put them under a different breed just to travel. So you can't even fly pit bulls nowhere.

"It's a breed they don't care about. It's not like he was fighting cocker spaniels or something that they like. They don't really care too much about pit bulls."

;D ;D ;D ;D

He kinda has a point, but not really. There is sort of a double standard with pitbulls, rotts, and a couple other breeds where a lot of people dont want neighbors or people living near them with these kinds of dogs for fear of their kids safety or their own, but if theyre used for dog fighting, its off with Mike Vick's head.

Im not condoning dogfighting, but neither of these acts (and stuff like Peezy mentioned where you cant take them on a plane), isnt in the best interest of the dog. With 1 you are stereotyping these dogs as killers or vicious despite that if brought up correctly are perfectly fine and caring dogs, with the other your almost using them as your pawn by creating an image of pitbulls and similar breeds being like a puppy sitting on your lap, but these poor dogs were forced to fight.

I agree. I don't believe any one breed of dog is any more dangerous than other. It completely comes down to the owner. Porter made it seem like Vick was doing "them"(whoever he kept mentioning when he said "they") a favor by offing these dogs. It wasn't the breed of the dogs, the lack of people wanting them, or the stereotype they bring; it was the fact that these dogs, these living animals, were being fought against their will. It's the owners of these dogs who are giving them these types of reputations.

Its so great to see Eli just get better and better.  This was a day without Plax and Jacobs and Eli just went out and stepped up.  I just read Ernie Accorsi's book (The GM, former GM of the Giants) and he talks about everything that went into getting Eli and that he just has that something that don't show up in the numbers.  10-1.
