Im still pissed Sean Penn got the best actor Oscar over Mickey. Even if you thought Penn was slightly better, you gotta give it to Mickey for career achievement over Penn who I think already had 2-3 Oscars before this one.

Haven't seen the flick yet. Seems to me the Oscar is based on politics.
I never see all the main films beforehand. When you watch the Oscars it's better to see the shit first. I like going to movies but at the theatre yet I don't really get the full effect of the film like I do when I see them on DVD from the couch. I liked Slumdog OK (at theatre)  maybe I didn't understand it like everyone who pissed themselves that's OK too. I want to see Sean Penn combine the Milk/I am Sam characters in a new film with a better ending.

Once I had a job that sometimes I could bring my dogs and tie them up by where I was working that day. A few employees also did ,mostly me. Nice they let me do it. Anyone else get to do that? It's fun but work.

We had a couple dog haters there or regular haters. This one guy  John come though my shop When Lew Lew went to check him out he tells her
" Get away or I'll kick your ass across this shop" Wow !!! Had to enlighten John on exactly who would be kicked across the shop. And asked why he would say that.He said he was kiddin' I said I wasn't. Had another run in with the dude when I went by with my dog on my day off. He came speeding in the parking lot right at me and Lew Lew and scared her bad.
Asked him why he would do that he just played dumb what are you talking about. Not worth the trouble but you sure want to smack a guy like that. I didn't :)

Rourke didnt' win because Penn was the better actor last year. Milk was an amazing movie, and Sean Penn was outstanding in it.

The thing is Leon, Tracy is just trying to keep things positive, keep things from going too far down the road of dick jokes and fuck that and talking stupid shit ALL THE TIME (it's not JUST this thread that has led to you getting called out). We all like to be crude from time to time, talk a little playful smack, but more than that, we keep it friendly, and we're considerate of each other. That's why we (myself included) say something, because we don't want this forum to turn into some (completely) crude, impersonal place.

If you knew ANYTHING you would realize that people just want to fit in. They don't want to be singled out or made to feel weird or different. You think you're helping "gay" people by saying it's not ok to make a joke on their behalf. What you're missing is that YOU are the one making them feel weird or different about their orientation by saying their exempt from jokes because of that very reason.

Saying gay men have oral sex is offensive to you? Are you saying their lifestyle offends you, or are you offended because I bought it to light? If I called you a carpet muncher would you get offended? Probably not (I'm assuming you're straight).  Picking and choosing who you can joke about is part of inequality.
