Nice pics everyone.  Here is a bald eagle that was chilling in my backyard last week.  Not the greatest picture in the world but I thought it was kind of cool.

wow thats so fucking cool about the eagle.  ive only seen one purely in the wild before.  2 other times, i got to see them but only because the Divsion of Wildlife here posted where they were, and they were about 1/3 mile away, so you couldnt see them very well.

dragonboy

Bald Eagle in your bard yard? That's amazing!!!
Thanks for posting  :)

Actually I have counted 5 at the same time.  Its really weird I have seen them almost every day for the past two months.  I think their population might be coming back.  (Or maybe they just like the bitching MMJ tunes coming out of my house.)   :)

A blurry one

where do you live vielfras?  im in SW ohio, just last year there was a nest spotted on the ohio river which is the first time in modern history (past 100 year or so) that eagles have nested this far south in ohio.  theres another nest about 25 miles south of my home, it was their last year, and theyre back again this year.  back in 1979, there were only 4 nesting pairs of eagles in ohio, all along the shores of lake erie.  this year ODNR has counted 146.  theyre making huge comebacks in lots of places.

I live in a small town on Lake Michigan called Saugatuck in southwest MI.  My house is on Silver Lake which connects to the Kalamazoo river.  I figure these characters live somewhere in the swampy areas around the river where there are no homes.

Yer they're pretty great, aren't they?
You'll have to wait until my wife gets home for the info - I can't read difficult Japanese like this  :-[
Here are some more sets to keep everyone busy until then:

EDIT: When you get to the bottom of a set click on the Japanese Kanji on the right under the last photo (black writing in the white square) for more pics.
