QuoteSeriously...the last three episodes of the League have been off the chart

didnt see last nights yet, but the Anniversary Party episode (1 before halloween one) was great on so many levels...Def one of the best episodes in its short existence.

Fear Boner!

Sounds like the Pet Shop Boys raping Erasure.

I love that line!

Yeah Penny, that Fear Boner episode hit home for me and not the least because of all my fear boners.

I have threatened to quit commissioning leagues because the other players become so annoying with personal attacks and nitpicking about rules but then won't be commissioner.  It felt good and reassuring to watch that episode. ;D

Yeah, the personal attacks and nitpicking hit home to me. I'm the one who usually does the nitpicking and complaining. 2 years ago we had a huge argument about ties too. I'm for ties. I don't think teams should get a magic point. You get what you earned in my book. The League has been great lately. Really enjoying it!

I'm a big fan. Too bad FOX really fucked this awesome show over by moving it around due to the MLB playoffs plus repeatedly putting it on hiatus; tonight is the last episode of the fall season. Let's hope it gets another season.

anyone watching Terriers?? probably my favorite new show this fall season (havent started Boardwalk Empire up yet) though that not saying much overall, but I like it a lot....Donal Logue is pretty much good in everything.

I thought they said there is a new episode not next week but the week after at the end tonight?

solid show, not the highest caliber but it is getting better with each season.

You are right. This was the last episode of the November sweeps. I like the show because it really does whatever it wants and it works.

I've never read the comics/graphic novels, but I'm going to assume this CDC guy killed his comrades there in order to discover the cure and trying to play the role of Vincent Price in the Last Man on Earth.

I don't know anything about the series outside of the show either.  it really reminds me of lost in a big way.  the biblical themes and all that.

the CDC dude seems nutzo but who knows.  I think he'll infect some of them or use some of them for studies for sure like you're saying but who knows.  there were so many fuckin dead people laying around the CDC, it was worse than Atlanta right?  it kinda bugs me they're dragging out the "why" so long.  what happened? they just refer to it as the apocalypse and vague shit.  the cop is jesus the zombie killer?

I don't think we'll know why. I hope not. I think that was part of the magic in LOST and ultimately what made the ending of Sopranos so awesome.

Do we need a Walking Dead thread so that we can speculate like with LOST?

a walking dead thread would be awesome.  sucks this season only has one episode left.

I get what your saying about not knowing but at the same time there are shitload of people who weren't in a coma.  they have to know a little more about what's going on, and maybe now that they've met up with desmond at the hatch we'll get a few more answers.  but like you're saying it's probably going to be some random mystery they slowly start to try and solve, but then what?  it feels like there is going to be more to the show than just waiting it out while zombies try and eat their gang.

Merl seems like the "evil" element outside of the "geeks".  who knows.  sure seems like the sheriff is praying every morning at sunrise when he calls out to his homies that he met after he got out of the hospital.  I wonder if the doctor is going to infect Carl or something. hmm, no idea, never thought I'd see a zombie show with a good story line.

For all the survival type show fans/Canadians, anyone watch Mantracker? I really want to do that show. I think it's kinda cool that the winners don't get prize money or anything. Just pure pride for their accomplishment.  8-)

Anyone sticking with Boardwalk Empire?  I got HBO for Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Pacific, then was gonna cut it loose.  Now, with BE and Bored to Death, I have to keep my HBO.

Agent Van Alden is blowing me away with his fervor.  I had to pick my jaw off the floor after this last episode; Michael Shannon shows once again he is good at playing crazy (see Revolutionary Road).  And I love Steve Buscemi in a lead role.

My favorite secondary character is Richard Harrow (played by Jack Huston), the WWI vet/sniper who lost most of the left side of his face.  Amazing effects when they show him without his prosthetic face, an interesting mix of compassion and violence in his manner.

Great show!

I have em all DVR'd but havent started yet. Of course, my DVR is being weird this week and it missed sunday's episode and it doesnt look like HBO is reairing it anytime this week. Because of that, I might wait until I the entire season reairs and I can record it because I dont want to skip an episode.

Looks like I'll have to start watching this and Walking Dead ASAP though.

Also, if you want to see a good movie where Michael Shannon is great at playing crazy, check out Bug. I really liked the movie, but its not for everyone and basically takes place in the same setting the whole movie. Youd probably like it.

I actually picked up Bug for like $3 last year and got through half of it.  I forgot he was in it, so perhaps I'll give it another try.  Thanks for the reminder.  Definitely would recommend you check out Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead.  Ever since my favorite show, The Shield, ended, I've been desperate for quality TV programming.
