Currently working on a large project for work that is taking forfreakineva to get done. The Excel file I'm in is so large and loaded that it is taking 5 minutes+ just to save whenever I make changes. I've got so many f'n tabs in it because Microsoft programmed a 65,500 line max. F'n assholes. This sucks, I'm gonna have to work on it at home this weekend just so I can get done since it is soooooo slooooow.   >:(

I feel for you, my friend.  I'm in the middle of a deal that has created over 1gb of spreadsheets, word docs and supporting scans.  I'm running multiple linked financial models of 45mb in Excel and it's killing me.

65k lines is a bummer when you've got a lot to analyse.  Set to manual calculation, do your changes and then press F9 and pour a long, cold drink...

Yeah I discovered the manual calculation setting oooh say after I got 95% of the data in. I about pissed myself when I found it. I still have a bunch of raw data to dump in for the V lookups but now that the damn thing doesn't try to re-calculate, it should go much smoother...I hope. Whilst not 1 Gb, it's large enough that its too gib for many of the flash drives I use to transfer stuff around.

GIH- I'm actually not 100% what my 6 bosses need it for (yes, that is correct 6 bosses. I feel like fucking Peter Gibbons from Office Space). Something to do with making a shipping and production model.

I guess 1 good thing, is a lot of my desk is being handled by someone else.

crazylove got a call at 1:45 a.m. that her mother had fallen at the nursing home and had hit her head when she fell. She went to the emergency room and has still not returned. I am a bit worried.......

She just made it back. Good news, they did not have to throw any stitches and the CAT scan came back ok. I am glad she is home safe.
