T-Ball!!

I was the worst t-ball player in the history of t-ball.  I was always out in left field, therefore I was always out in left field.  For real.  One time I was standing there, paying ZERO attention to the game, and somebody hit a fly ball THAT LANDED IN MY  OPEN MITT.

It made us win the game.  That is a true story.

I was even worse at field hockey.  I have an extra bump on my lip to prove it.

Anyhow, lovely little picture, realdeal.

Wait...you're white?!!!!! You don't look like Wil Smith?!!
Learning that Ratsprayer isn't Thomas the Tank Engine was tough enough, as was finding out that Tom isn't blonde with a mullet & that Ycartrob doesn't look like Mitch Hedberg but this is too much!
In my eyes Olwiggum will always be Space Ghost & EC will always be pastures of green  ;)
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I was just thinking - there's a lot of white folks around here.

I'm one of these dudes.  Not the shaggy, grey-haired one in the middle, though.  Thats THE dude.

Jon T.

Is that...Jeff Dowd??

marktwain

That's the handle his loving parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself.

We ran into him at Churchill Downs a couple of years ago.  It was the day before the Lebowski Fest.

Jon T.

Good stuff.

On my way to work this morning I saw a car with a IN & OUT BURGER license plate guard.  I live in Florida so needless to say there isn't one of those around.  It gave me a nice chuckle.

That's cool. Great t-shirt as well!

Thanks!

Not too many people in Canada have even heard of Robert Johnson, let alone travelled to Mississippi. I want to be buried next to Robert, when they decide where he's actually buried.

I lived in Mississippi for 20 plus years. We used to travel to Greenville to the Delta Blues Festival. A friend of mine started a tradition where'd he'd bring a couch (usually found discarded somewhere on the way to the show) and it'd get burned at the end of the show.  My most memorable moment was 84 or 85 when we saw John Hee Hooker, Otis Rush, Sam Meyers, etc...well, around midnite, BB King came out onstage (stage = flat bed trailer) and said he had a special guest, some hot shot guitar player from Texas and out walks Stevie Ray Vaughan and we freaking lost it. Now all the black folks (90% of the crowd was black, this was right before the blues tried to get hijacked by yuppies) were like, "Who the hell is this white boy?" but we had Texas Flood and Couldn't Stand the Weather, so WE knew. And he blew everyone's mind. He's up there on the trailer, his baby blue scarf, flapping in the delta midnight, all those ghosts and spirits battling it out...ecstacy!

My friend has a theory (same friend with the couch) that a vortex of evil was created where Robert Johnson sold his soul and that's why the casinos have popped up in Tunica...

Wow, what a story! How cool is that?!!

Visiting Mississippi was a real culture shock for me. I loved the experience and want to go back as soon as I can.
