I thought it was great, MELTED MY FACE.   They CGI was insane, the battlefield scenes were very intense.  I liked the matrix style footage. Those spartans should be tested for HGH, they are frickin HUGE.

I prefer The Bratz over Barbie,  Barbie is way to skinny.  And she has alot of tude. I think she is still doin Ken.

Here's an interesting bit of news for all of you 300/Gerard Butler fans:

Completely different kind of movie but he's really good in a little UK film called Dear Frankie:

Saw 'The Bridge' last week.

Documentary about the Golden Gate Bridge and the fact that it is the No.1 suicide hotspot in the States. The director filmed the bridge for 365 days and tells the story of the people who attempt (and succeed) in taking their own lives.

Bloody good. Harrowing and hearbreaking at the same time.

Boondock Saints and Miller's Crossing, again, I really like both of these (Dafoe in drag is priceless).
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

I really really want to see this.

Saw a French movie I'd recommend called Lemming, with Charlotte Gainsbourg (science of sleep) and Charlotte Rampling (Swimming Pool, etc. lengthy career). It was really creepy and well made. Critics have said it has elements of both David Lynch and Hitchcock which I can definitely see. I had bad dreams about those hamster like lemmings the night I watched it.

Also saw Three Times (English title) directed by Hou Hsiao-hsien, one of the most visually gorgeous movies I've seen in awhile. His use of color is magnificent. The whole first scene is almost entirely in a wide variety of greens. It's about three love stories set in three times, 1911, 1966 and 2005. Two actors play the two main characters in each story. My favorite of the three stories was the 1966 one.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

QuoteHaha, sometimes you just need to watch some 'fluff' and I'm half drunk so I probably won't make it through the entire movie anyways.

I seen a bit of Scratch, I'd like to watch it all.  That other one looks really cool, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

hey man SCRATCH is on google video, i rewatched it lat night.

i am rewatching THE LAST WALTZ now and I get teary-eyed everytime but not as teary-eyed as when i watched FESTIVAL this morning, a documentary on the Newport festivals, which had me listening to my Joan Baez records all day.

i have always said I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO BE 20 IN THE MID 1960'S!!!!!!!!!
I was a big old bear once.

I just watched The Apartment with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLean. The name of Jack Lemmon's character is C.C. Baxter and the whole time I kept thinking it sounded familiar, where did I know that name from. Then it dawned on me The MMJ forum.

I saw Borat last week. Good but not great (I have all of his DVDs, both UK & US and have been a huge fan for years, I guess maybe my expectations were too high?)

I also have Casino Royale, Pan's Labyrinth, The Departed, Babel & Stranger Than Fiction in my unwatched pile.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.
