From what I've heard the new Mark Lanegan sounds excellent - one week to go!
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band have an outtakes album coming out called "One of My Kind". Half of the songs have been released already on the Gentlemens Pact ep, and there are live versions of the title track floating around.

Correction, it's KEXP's site. Here is the link. A couple songs in and it's really good.

I am looking forward to the first album ( a double!) by the Swedish pop group "Winhill/Losehill" coming out Feb 22.

"Tell her she´s the light of the world " is currently blowing my mind!

Anyone mention this yet?

Don't know much about post Ceremony Cult (which I didn't care for) but they definitely still had it when I saw them live last year. Produced by Bob Rock (Sonic Temple) & Chris Goss (Kyuss) so I'm intrigued...

Michael Kiwanuka is man of the moment in the UK press, his debut is due out in March...

Michael Kiwanuka - Tell Me A Tale (Later with Jools Holland)

that is awesome. as a huge giants fan, i'm surprised that i didn't know that mathias kiwanuka's brother was an accomplished musician.

Don't know if any of these are "good" and none of them mention the anticipated release of the new Yim Yames LP later this year, so...
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Didn't we have a thread for "top albums of 2012" or something to that effect?  Why am I not finding it?  Was it left on the "other" forum (the old Grnd Ctrl site)?
We could.
