Damn, I'm still happy with my seats but it would have been nice to know that the "Pit" is a seated area for this show.  I would have tried for XPN presale tix today.

it said "reserved pit seats" for the drop down menu option of tickets yesterday for the presale

I've bought many tix before that have seat numbers but are GA.  I didn't realize that Pit could be either seated or GA.  I heard of that for Orchestra before, but never Pit.  Now I know for the future.

One way to help tell if it's seated is you'll get a row# in addition to the seat#. Usually for standing ga pit they do have a number in the seat section of the ticket but it's for keeping track of the amount sold. It's usually some wacky number that's obvious it doesn't correspond to an actual seat like 1205 or something like that.

Camden definitely does both GA seated/standing depending on the show. The Mann in Philly also has a seated reserved Pit, but I don't believe they ever remove those seats and have a standing one.

Also the three tickets are called " Reserved Pit Ticket", " P1 Reserved Seat Ticket" and " P2 Reserved Seat Ticket".  Pit doesnt have "seat" next to it while the others do, and that's why I thought no seats.

Oh well, still good seats in the 13th row.

Yeah, 13th row in Camden is a real good seat, and I can see where the buying options could seem a little confusing. The key word there is "reserved" though, and for standing Pits, it usually says GA Pit ticket.

Yeah I've seen it both ways.  MPP is listed as GA Pit, but the Pit tix I got for Charlotte have a row and seat number attached to them.  But then if you look at the ticketmaster site it says its a GA Pit.  Oh, well either way it works as its still pretty close and this way you don't have to worry about lining up early or anything.  Plus its nice to not have to stand the entire night prior to MPP, as that one is always a beast of pit to deal with.

Good to know. I don't remember ever  getting a GA Pit  ticket with a real row number on it, usually one that doesn't exist like XX. I'll have to look more closely next time.

I don't know about the front row but I saw one in P6 that had seat #50. The chart I saw looked like all the rows had the same amout of seats, but I do know they've had a couple of different seated pit arrangements. One show P2 was the front row in my section, as they had pit seats in front of the two side reserved sections. This one looks like it's just P1-P8 straight across.
Yo Eric!
How do you think it wll be getting a decent seat on the public sale?

Henry in da' house!

Eric, I thought you said you were in row three - if you're in P4 seat 44 that is two seats down from what I got!
So, I do believe.....

Row B section 104.  I think that's 2nd row to the left of the stage.  Not too shabby.

Damn somebody in RC really likes you. Gonna be a sick run. Camden/MPP. Just gotta through a casino in between and we'll be all good. MMJ summer here we come.

billadelphia

My seats are at the very end of P3.  Any idea how extreme the angles will be from the end of the pit rows?

Gina

Now I'm just damn jelly that Eric, Laura, and Henry are all going to Camden. LOL

You'll be there in spirit with us Gina, and we'll all get to a show together on one of these legs. Fingers crossed something in the Fall will work for all of us.

That's pretty much crap, I was just reading about that on the website.  So they pretty much hold back some premium tickets from presales, in this case P2 of the Pit section and then charge higher prices based on the current secondary market for the tickets.  Basically a money grab by Live Nation/Ticketmaster

You're being too kind. It's total bullshit! Then they have the nerve of wording it to make it seem like they're doing us a favor by charging double     I could almost understand it if it was some type of VIP package with a little swag thrown in but that's not the case. It's a flat out money grab, and typical of TM/LN.

actually technically it is mmj scalping the tickets.  the artist has the right to offer or not offer "platinum tickets" and they decide what to charge.  ticketmaster started this a year or two ago for artists to get in on the secondary market game, rather than a scalper making that money over face, they release these seats for the artists to profit and not the scalper.

not sure if they do this for other shows, but i was surprised to see mmj do it for this one, doesnt seem like their m.o.  maybe a promoter did it without their knowledge?   Although double face for 2nd row pit isnt the grossest thing ive seen.  you should see billy joel and the like sell not even the best seats at 700 plus a pop.

Very  Never for a second thought the band was behind this or approved it.

It looks as though someone has bought  a pair of the P2's, and LN has now added four more pairs in P3. So far we're  talking 14 pit tix in low rows being offered in this LN scalping of their own tix. Who knows how many more they are holding?  Bastards!!!
