There ya go .....

That's the NYC MMJ NYE 'tude!!!

Obviously, you need to think economical and CLEAN.

I never understand friends who spend alot of money for a fancy room that they are just going to sleep in.

Like those idiots who spend a grand for a limo to take them to a concert and the limo sits unused out in the parking lot all night.

If you don't belong to AAA, it's worth the money to join just for the discounts on hotels. Plus, AAA will hook you up finding someplace within your budget without charging you like a travel agent would.

Is it just you and your significant other?

ya need me some trip A... it's me and my significant Jacket other i guess you could say...

Honest Man

Beware there are a lot of dumps in the city that are "budget friendly". I would recommend staying at a chain. I think I saw a Best Western that is located downtown in Soho for about $250 + taxes. Seemed like the best deal since your room won't have bed bugs or have to share a bathroom.

Go Saints! :D

RENew Orleans!!!

Definitely a chain ... Best Western, Super 8, Holiday Inn

Definitely avoid places that:

A - Ask if you want sheets
B - Say "The screaming from other rooms usually blocks out the gunfire from the street."
C - Inform you that the kids will love riding the cockroaches around the room.
D - Still have police tape across the door of the room and a body outlined on the floor.
E - When given directions you are told, "Turn left at the syphilitic whores on 3rd Ave, then it's the building right next door to the meth lab."

Um.....

It is worth at least $200 more to be within walking distance. LOL

So for an extra C-Note?

Just cut back on your vices for the next six months ....

i'll be staying in rutherford... just a short train ride from manhattan...

:)
The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

Honest Man

I live right next town over in Carlstadt BRAHH! I am debating whether I should spend the money to stay in the city since getting out will be an absolute travesty.

Any thoughts?

i think it depends on your budget---if i lived that close, i'd suffer the train ride/travesty rather than shelling out 300 bucks or more---

When i go to NYC for New years (I have seen Gov't Mule 3 times on NYE at the Beacon), i always stay in NJ in a place right next to the NJ Transit.

Reasons:
1-save mad cash
2-unless you are going to be out partying all night, you will appreciate the quieter room
3-If you are coming from the west it shortens your ride home the next day
4-The trains have always been safe for me
5-Save money on parking, tolls, gas, etc.....

Quotehow long is the train ride from there??

Where?  It depends on where in NJ you stay.... Do a google search for NJ Transit and then look on there.

I've never been to the states before so dont know my way around.  I noticed some accommodation available in Brooklyn.  Would that be too far away?  If so, what is the nearest district to Maddison Square?
