it was somewhat of a joke... there were not 1000's printed though. When I got to the show I bet there was a stack of 100.

Big deal, you got a MMJ poster that you'd be silly to sell anyway.
I will say that it's retarded that they cost more now...

I still haven't picked up a Louisville poster, but I did manage to get my hands on the super-rare Hatch Show Print... This thing is freakin' sexy.

go over to kopilot.net and shoot them an email. I know they were selling them for 3 bucks locally and 5 online + shipping but I haven't been in there in a few months...

Short answer: I spoke with the printer... they typically have a couple of posters laying around that were held for various reasons - damages, printer proofs, etc. I was willing to take a poster that was lesser quality, but it just so happens the only one they had was one they had forgotten was taped to their window. So... I've got one of the very few ones that isn't signed by the band, and it's in perfect condition (I don't see where it was taped). It'll look great framed to my Ryman poster, which is signed by the band.

I don't have any wall space left. I don't know if I should pick up the Louisville for $40 if I know I won't display it. I still have my Bonnaroo '05, '06, and MMJ themed '08 posters in the roll.

:-/

I need to build a room for MMJ memorabilia.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but if not, I think it might be a good idea.

If there is anybody on here who is awesome at art/printing shit/etc, you should make your own posters and sell them to us on here for a more modest price than $40-$80+.  I don't care about a poster being "official" or any of that shit, in fact if somebody on here made a cool poster, it would be more personal and I would probably like it more.  I would love more MMJ posters, but don't have enough money to pay those prices.  Maybe somebody on here is already doing this, I don't know, but I would def. pay money for someone's art on here, and knowing that it came from a true fan like me, that would make it even better.

That may be fine with you, but I'd bet that the band (record label, mangement, etc.) would not wanting people making illegal merch and selling without their consent.

Plus, who says that the ones making the art aren't true fans anyways? I have been listening (and making posters) for these guys for many years. I love and respect their music as much or more than anyone on here. So to make a statement like that seems a little misguided.

suspicious-g!  didn't know this was you until i read your sig line!   [smiley=beer.gif]

i love the giant eye looking out in this one:
"i don't mean to brag, i don't mean to boast, but we like hot butter on our breakfast toast."

before the waterfront show i ordered some stickers that i'd planned to pass out at the concert.

they say:  RAMPANT BADASSERY  on them.  they've finally arrived and they are pretty rad!  if you want one, just send me a self-addressed stamped envelope.  the sticker will fit in a letter sized envelope (the ones that are about 9 x 3 in.--i don't have a ruler on me. )

to get my address, PM me.

i've got 100 of these stickers and will pass them out after the upcoming shows (portland, seattle, los angeles)  until they are gone.  for the love of pete, please don't put the stickers on anything at the venues.

**THE STICKERS HAVE NO MMJ LOGOS OR TEXT ON THEM, AND ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE BAND AT ALL--this is strictly the descriptive line i'm giving this tour.  every tour, really, but let's not quibble.**  [smiley=beer.gif]
