I'm there, dragging some old work buddies of mine, a crew of about 6, all in their 50's and all ready to rock to the Jacket. I got them to go to the last 2 Nashville shows, so they all know what to expect.

QuoteYes! I'll be driving from out of town so I'm wondering if anyone has any information regarding the venue - what time the doors/gates open and what's a good time to show up for a good spot?
Doors are 6:30 pm.  Riverfront Park is right at the end of all the honkeytonks downtown. I'm gettin there at 6:00

Hey people just want to let you know, if your a freak and want to bump into MMj while they are in town you might want to head over to East Nashville, Carl lives our there (Per one of my artist) and they are known to hang out in that part of town around the 5 points area.

Also Kory that was some funny shit back at the My first time in Louisville thread haha

i am so stoked about seeing them in just a few short (or should i say long) days.  this week is dragging on and on.

had a couple of questions since i'm not too familiar with nashville or the venue.  if my friend and i get there early to find a parking place, are there any places to eat within walking distance? also are you allowed to bring in items such as lawn chairs or coolers? i didn't know what to expect from riverfront park and couldn't really find any info on it.

Kory

hey, I just found out Nashville is on central time... awesome for the drive down... shitty for the drive back home!

I don't live in Nashville but I am up there a lot.  There are plenty of restaurants, bars, sports bar and grill type places downtown.  Sure at least 10 within walking distance.  The venue is at the corner of two of the main streets 1st Ave and Broadway, just walk along either and you'll find somewhere.  In fact i bet you will see a few places while you are looking for a place to park.  Good luck!  And yes, 'twill be a loooong three days.

I'll be there.  I get off work downtown around 4pm and will probably head to Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grill for a few beers before heading to the show.  They are only 2 blocks from the venue and have some wings, gumbo, beer selection and atmosphere.

Doubt you'll be able to bring in lawn chairs or coolers.  Went to a show there a few months ago and they didn't allow those in.  But the lawn is on a hill and a blanket or two make great "chairs" there.

I like that place.  Unfortunately I doubt I'll be to town early enough to grab a bit to eat.  Depending on the crowds, afterwards I may try to head to the Beer Sellar.  They've got a big selection of beers, good sandwiches (though the kitchen may be closed by then), and pool for $1/game.

Yea, downtown is sure to be packed afterwards as there is a preseason Titans game and another "big" concert (Darryl Worley) on 2nd avenue.

Hell Yeah! 48 hrs until the Jacket is rocking out in the Music City!

Any predictions or hopes for the set list?

1. Cobra
2. By my car
