FLV Files

I have one of those things that let's you download videos off of Youtube and those sites, but they come in as FLV, so I downloaded something to convert them to a file my NERO software will burn, but the quality goes down greately. Anyone have any suggestions, or idea if any NERO software is capable of burning FLV files now? I have a real old version, but it works with every other type of file except FLV. Any help would be sweet.
