Any good photos of your hometown, or where you live currently, or a place you love, that you'd like to share?

here's a taste of my home, pic taken last winter.

and here's some water in the rio, also from last winter.

Fuuuck, that first picture is incredible. I've never lived anywhere so photogenic.

Except West Virginia. Let me see if I've got some pictures of that one on the computer.

Okay, so I've got a few:

This is from behind the house my had in Buford, GA in December, the first time I saw it. This is still one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken, and it was seriously on my second day of owning a digital camera.

Discovered this beaut on the trip back from my dad's to Nashville on 24 just north of Chattanooga:

;)

This is from driving around the suburbs of Chicago (Carol Stream). May parents lived there a few years while I was graduating high school. Now they're in Oswego (near Naperville). I've got a thing for clouds. Especially when shit like this goes down. Pretty normal street. Pretty awesome clouds.

And then from Belmont University in Nashville. Probably the most incredible cloud formation I've ever seen. We had a parking garage that was perfect for taking pictures of this business:

And then I turned around a realized I had a perfect shot of the skyline waiting for me, too. Great evening for pictures.

Also from Belmont, I lived in Pembroke Hall freshman year. Never realized how absolutely awesome the trees outside it were until fall of sophomore year when I took the camera out for an outing around campus:

Caught my fair share of sunrises from the other side of the hill while in Nashville, too. That's the only thing I don't dig about where I live in Athens, is that I don't have a good sunrise spot. Yet.

A few more kickass clouds from Carol Stream (this was from my 35mm on the way to early bird PE senior year of HS):

Credit goes to my stepdad on this one. Just down the street from the one before, except at evening:

And to round things off, here's the sheep field we lived next to in WV. Smelled like sheep, but was quite the gorgeous:

'ey tom, great photos! thanks for sharing. those clouds in nashville are amazing!
have you ever googled photos for mammatus clouds? that's some amazing shit. i still haven't seen really good ones in person, but on sunday down here we had a cold, wet day for a change, and some gentle ones formed for a little bit. i'll get those photos up at some point.
i've had a thing for clouds for a while now. of course, being in the desert they can be a rarity. but when they do come around, it's fucking amazing. lately i've become a little more obsessed with trees, but i still have a tendency to stare at clouds, even when they're in the background on a TV screen.

These were taken in southwest New Mexico, on a drive to San Diego in August to see Radiohead. Some of my favorite cloud photos; the best ones come in late summer.

And that second picture is absolutely awesome. With awe being the operative part of the key word there. Awe-inducing probably works better. Shit, I love nature.

The name comes from mamma - Latin for human female breast.  No wonder they're so appealing.

Wait till you see them in person. Once and only once have I and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up from excitment and from the fact mother nature was about to bitch slap us around. Take a picture of them as they are amazing to see, then take cover as bad weather usually comes with them.

Some shots of my hometown in country Victoria (thankfully not affected by the bushfires)

This is a shot from my desk at work in Melbourne... yeah, pretty hard to concentrate on a nice day! If I could have been bothered opening the blinds to the right, you could see my view of the MCG/Rod Laver Arena.. no complaints :)

Penny Lane

Hoboken: 1 square mile and about 60K people, the most awesome views of Manhattan (i think even better than the views from Brooklyn)

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.
