Quotehis accent is dead-on, i think.  i hadn't seen him before house, so when I saw him on conan i was blown away by his actual speaking voice.

the wife's way more into than I am, but I like it because it's not like most other tv dramas.  there's not always a happy ending, the main character is a complete asshole, not all that attractive, and a drug addict.  i kinda dig that.

Hugh admits that he struggles with his generic American accent. I can hear a little English lilt sometimes in the accent, but he's done a good job - I've been a fan of Hugh's since the mid 80's. However, Kevin McKidd's accent in Journeyman needs a bit of work.

Watching Season 3 of Prison Break. Loved the first two. I think this one's stretching it a bit. I'll keep watching, though, it might start grabbing me.

All of Season II and these first two episodes of Season III are a stretch. I'm still watching because I like the characters, even if the storylines are insane.

I know what you mean. I think there was a kind of point to season 2 but it could/should have ended there. I too like the characters so I'll keep watching.

Robot chicken is one of my favorites on Adult Swim second only to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, of course.

I can honestly say that season one of The Wire is the best single season of a drama that I've ever watched.  Incredible from beginning to end.  My heart was racing and tears were almost flowing so many times.

Can't wait to start season two.

HD?  Amazing.

If you like David Attenborough, The Life of Mammals is also excellent.

All of BBC/David Attenborough documentaries going back to the late 70's are excellent.

I have Life On Earth, The Living Planet, Life Of Birds, Life Of Mammals, Private Life Of Plants, Life In The Freezer, Trails of Life & Blue Planet.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

thanks for the recommendation.  i wasn't familiar with david attenbourgh, only heard of him before this series.  Unfortunately i don't have HDTV but I have a big ass big screen TV and it was pretty amazing on that.  Are those other series you mentioned as in-depth.  Some of those shots they got were amazing to find and capture those shots must have taken years, decades.  I had to return the discs today and now I'm jonesin for more.  i'll have to pick it up soon.

I believe that you are right, and Planet Earth did take several years to shoot.  You won't find cinematography on par with that in any other nature series that I know of.  But the Life of Mammals (I own the set and watched it just last month) is still very good and very interesting.  Personally, I find myself more intrigued by mammals than birds or fish so I might be biased, so keep that in mind.  Lots of fascinating behavior is shown and I always am amazed by the variety and genius of the animals.  Definitely recommended.

Yes.  The filming is spectacular on any television.  Well, your's is color right?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.
