i have every season on dvd but the movie looked awful so i didn't see it.

i also have every season. since you've watched every episode, you wouldn't like the movie. they rehash every joke. for example...when chuck backs out of jerris driveway, and backs right into his own  in one swipe. (the violin episode) they do the same thing in the movie, but in the movie...jerri needs a ride to school, and her mom backs out of the driveway, right into the school. it wasn't funny the second time.
you're right. don't want to rehash every episode but you made me think of when jafri gets hit by the car (jerri) and they have to reattach his face LOLLL OMG. i have to watch that again. i haven't watched in a couple years.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

that is a great show.

I used to like ATHF and Sealab 2021 but can't get into them anymore.
i never watched those shows that much. couldnt get into them as well. i thought the venture brothers would be the same way, but its not at all. i think i am going to buy the seasons.

i also wish they would put the muppet show out on DVD.

yeah, the muppet dvd's are pretty sweet. brad has seasons 1 and 2, and there are some pretty cool special features--i think season 2 had a valentine's day special featuring a very preggers mia farrow.

i wish they had the wonder years on dvd. that would be awesome.

Finished Twin Peaks last night!  Wow, Bob, wow!

All I have left now is the movie, "Fire walk with Me".

Does anyone know if the show got abruptly cancelled or if that was how the show was supposed to end?  There are still a lot of unanswered questions, such as (spoilers):

What happened to Josie?  Is she stuck in the drawer pull forever?  Did Audrey die in the explosion?  Did her father die? Do Norma and Eddie end up together after all?  Why did Cooper go to the black lodge instead of the white lodge?  What is the white lodge? Were the giant, the dwarf, and Bob really one and the same or were the giant and the dwarf "good"? Does Bobby really end up getting that one girl(forgetting her name right now)?

Still, for having so many questions left over it was a great final episode and a great show.  I wonder if Z's owl imagery wasn't "borrowed" from/inspired by twin peaks.

Now to delve into David Lynch's movies.  any recommendations?

oh man thats awesome you finished the series, I've got to wait till march 11th to get the first season from netflix.

movies:  Blue Velvet, of course, Mulholland Dr, Wild at Heart, and The Straight Story are all great films.

His early works is pretty great too Eraserhead is a trip and the Elephant Man is haunting.

My two picks are Mulholland Dr and The Straight Story personally.

I'm partial to Blue Velvet, but I think the best thing he was ever associated with was the first season of Twin Peaks.  The guy who directed Twin Peaks was named Tim Hunter or something like that - anyway, he directed The River's Edge; a really great movie.
I'm not saying it's easy...walking into sweet oblivion.

That scene with Bob hanging outside the window is still one of the creepiest/scariest/goosebump inducing TV moments for me. I think the general story was how Lynch wanted it to go, but I could be wrong. Once her murder was solved, the story shifted the ratings dropped if I remember.

They were hoping to get a third season by going all out with the finale similarly to the end of season one. I thought that Bob was separate and that the giant and the dwarf were one. The movie is a prequel so it offers no resolve, but does give a hint about what happened to Dale in the lodge.

The Straight Story is the only one I haven't seen, isn't it a disney movie or somethin?
Wild At Heart and Mullholland DR are my favorites. Lost Highway will be re-released on DVD March 25, I watched a really shitty DVD that looked like a VHS Tape.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Finished the final season of The Wire this week - I don't think I'll ever see any television show this good in my life.  It was perfect.

Now I'm watching Planet Earth which is mind-blowing and am about to start on season one of Battlestar Galactiga.  I've got to fit The Corner in there somewhere too.

Make sure that you watch the mini-series pilot first. I believe the DVD box for Season I includes the amazing pilot movie.

I watched the Extras Xmas Special last night - absolutely brilliant!!! Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant have made yet another hilariously funny & very moving piece of television...had me in tears  :'(

Hats off to Clive Owen & especially George Michael  ;D ;D ;D
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Wasn't that Big Brother scene amazing?!

The cast for This Side of the Truth (Ricky's first co-written/co-directed movie - with Matthew Robinson) is ridiculously great: http://buzzsugar.com/1130316

Arrested Development (my favourite show ever) alumni!  Nigel Tuffnel!  Louis C.K.!  I can't wait.

I'm also glad to know he just finished the first draft of another film, this one with Stephen Merchant.

Cheers for the info! Have you seen Stardust? Ricky only has a very small part but he's very funny. Good fantasy movie, lots of fun.
