It was still a really bad season (season 2) IMHO, totally frustrating and annoying the whole way through....Dexter wasn't even that likable....If you wanna take the plunge be my guest....If I knew this ahead of time I'd still prob watch but wish someone warned me....Season 3 was better and 4 was great!

isn't season 2 the season deb meets what's his face for the first time?  it's really a character development season if you ask me.  plus the end pay off at that cabin was well worth the wait.  i think that was season 2?

by the way wtf trish wtf's up with not spoiler alerting that season finale thing about the tipster sluttie?  way uncool bro, way uncool.  I've still got like 6 episodes to go.  the irish smarty pants just slapped the animal slut in the face, homeboi's about to come home I think.  creepy god freak cop just denied his wife her tubes to be blown clean.  spoiler alert:  wasn't it fucked up when that bitch put lysol in her vag? wtf? my kids don't need to see that shit.

If you had to skip a season of Dexter, I'd say 3...3 didn't really hold my interest nearly as much as the others.

But don't do that.  Don't skip any.  ;D

everybody in this thread has watched the wire start to finish, right?  that shit should be mandatory.

Just finished season 2 of the Wire....Show is addictive...Love how detailed they get into the dichotomous worlds of detecting and underground Baltimore.

QuoteDexter is great but skip season 2. The whole crazy stalker plot is way too overdone. I hate how whenever there's a stalker plot in a show, the stalker can walk around and skirt around all rules of social convention....Plus Lila was the most annoying character on tv

I just started watching Dexter through Netflix as well, just finished season 1. I think it would be a terrible idea to skip a whole season even if its not quite up to par with others. If your gonna commit to a show like that just go in order, I wouldn't want to be confused about future events in other seasons. Absolutely terrible advice.  [smiley=thumbdown.gif]

While I'll agree that Lila was annoying as hell, I actually enjoyed season 2. Doakes is one of my favorite characters on Dexter & season 2 has a ton to do with him. So, imho, no skippy season 2 ;)

It's a tossup for me for worst season, 2 or 3.  That said, Lila was also hot as hell and Dokes is one of the greatest TV characters ever created. 8-)

Finally got to watch The Walking Dead last night...Planned on watching 2-3 episodes but that turned into 4 because I couldnt quit watching without finding out if they were gonna track down Merle or not, and then I just ended up watching all 6 of them...Liked it a lot, might be my favorite TV drama going right now. I'll have to check out the actual Walking Dead and post some more detailed thoughts.

Im conflicted. I saw the 1st 2 seasons of Californication, but missed the last one. Ive DVR'd the episodes of the new season so far. I think Im going to watch them, but I hate skipping seasons, even for a show like this.

I've never seen this I keep meaning to download it.  looks bad ass for sure.

on another note last weeks episode of the office one of the funnier ones in a while.  Daryl, Dwight and Andy at the rollerskating place was hilarious.

the DJ "Any requests?"

Andy "Dave Matthews Band... but no hits!!"

::DJ starts playing "Ants Marching"::

Andy "I SAID NO HITS!!"

::Andy starts nodding and smiling anyway and then skates away by himself::

hahaha I don't know if it's Ed Helms or BJ Novak who writes the DMB jokes but they're dead on.

I'm watching BSG for a third time, and I'm sort of wishing I could live in outer space

I'm also watching Breaking Bad for the first time as it re-airs on AMC and that shit makes me all nervous

Watching American Idol(not by choice;]) and "I'm Amazed" was playing as the camera showed the cheering crowd. This isn't the first time I've heard mmj songs on prime time television ://///

Last night during the U of L basketball game when coming back from break they showed our skyline and the announcer said, "Welcome to Louisville, Ky, the home of Muhammad Ali and Jim James of My Morning Jacket."

Very cool.  I didn't know Cassius Clay was from L'ville.

Actually, someone just beat you to it yesterday, I think.

Up here, we get occasional references to our local celebs- NH natives Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, Seth Meyers, Mike O'Malley (a dormmate of mine at UNH in the 80's), Aerosmith (played prom at the high school I work at in the 70's), most of the group Boston (including the lead singer who committed suicide at his home in NH), and a few others.  Interesting the number of comedians we're producing in the Granite State.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.
