I'm with ya!  I found the little girl a bit unrealistic, too grown up, and wouldn't mind if that coal mining exec would have some of Mags's apple pie.

You gotta love a modern western co-written by Elmore Leonard.  Olyphant is great, I love seeing Walton Goggins get solid work after The Shield.  And who can resist a show that has BOTH of Dewey Cox's parents?
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Any interaction between Boyd and Raylan is pure gold. Loved the courtroom scene from 2 episodes back. The show hits a perfect balance of modern western, small town drama, comedy which isn't afraid to go dark and violent when it has to.

Plus the women are easy on the eyes as well

I am just about done with the box set of Stephen King's miniseries "Kingdom Hospital" from a while back.  Really good stuff although he comes off as a little self absorbed with his opening episode (if you've seen this you'll know what I mean)
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

@wolf and yac, so pumped justified is renewed.  FX would have been idiots not to.  They've finally got another show they can run with for awhile.  the last episode was awesome.  the few before were sort of lame, the one's involving his ex-wife.  I don't really care for that bitch much.  Bram got toasted down that well.  fucking bad ass.  Boyd/Rayland is pretty ultimate but how long can it really be drawn out for?  What is Boyd planning? He's gone along way from shooting bazooka's at churches.

darkglow

just caught my first episode of Justified tonight... wow what a story..

i'm ordering Season 1 and this is perfect for my weeknight "stay in and chill to save money for the summer festivities" strategy!!!!

Enjoy darkglow, I'm sure you won't be dissappointed....I'll quote myself by saying its a show that does well balancing elements of modern western, small town drama, comedy which isn't afraid to go dark and violent when it has to.

I recorded Game of Thrones last night. I've been waiting for this series for over a year (the books are legendary). I'll get back to you all after I watch this on Tuesday (Pixies concert tonight). BTW, the press and ratings have been exceptional.

Everything GRRM has posted on his site has been amazing. So pissed I do not have HBO. And the next book is due this summer!!

Justified.
Season one on DVD and currently season 2.
Season one is super great. Season 2 has been a bit less focused. It's had some side tracks.
Season one was very well thought out and followed the arc of Boyd's character along with Raylon's. Season 2 has had a few detours. But it's shaping up the last couple episodes.

Game of thrones looks kind of cool but I'm only seeing it because HBO is free on DTV this past weekend. Sadly I can't justify HBO since Deadwood got killed. I dropped it as a statement when they didn't finish the saga.

QuoteDoes anyone watch Dexter?

I just saw episodes 1,2,3 from Season One and am immediately hooked!  Can't wait to watch another episode tonite.  The Wii/Netfliz thing is fantastic!!

Oops...gotta go  "Im not There" is on HBO  right now....and Guess whose voice just popped out of my TV???????????  ooooooooh shivers.

Dexter is up there as one of the best tv series as of late for sure.  I loved season 1-3 but season 4 is biblical. What day is the season 5 premiere, it's soon isn't it? I'm really pumped for
season two of Bored to Death & Eastbound and Down.  it's going to be a hilarious fall tv time.

New seasons of Dexter and Bored to Death air on Sunday. Check your local listings.
Next to the Wire, Dexter is probably my favorite Drama/Thriller TV series of all time.  I know people loved the Lithgow season but 1 is still my favorite followed by 4 then 2.  Season 3 with Jimmy Smits was relatively forgettable.  I no longer get Showtime so I'll just have to wait and not peak in here. :)

Just getting to season 3....about 5 episodes in...definitely agree with the relatively forgettable Jimmy Smits storyline......but it's still better than most shows I have seen.  can't wait to get to season 4!
.....Back at the Model Home

Was last weekend the series premiere of Game of Thrones then? Looks awesome, and going back home for Easter. I'll have to attach charge up the ol DVR and set it up to record the series then. I thought it started early April though. If it a few episodes in, I'll just wait to start from the beginning.

...Anyone watching The Killing? unsurprisingly digging it so far. Love the opposite personality partner duo of Sarah and Holder.

Interesting.  I've recently watched seasons 1-3.  I sped through seasons 1 and 2 and was loving them.  Then I had to order season 3 since it's not available to stream.  I've kind of lost a little interest after season 3.  My wife has been catching up on Mad Men (which I can take or leave) so I haven't started season 4 yet.  Hopefully it'll pick back up for me.

I have been streaming Californication in the meantime.  Not the best show in the world, but it's certainly entertaining.

I stand by my position that season 3 of Dexter was better than season 2 with the exception of Doakes. I'm sorry but crazy stalker plots is a tired pointless and senseless tv cliche. It is what made season 1 of Sons of Anarchy less interesting.

I mean come on, stalkers in tv have free reign to do anything they want, be anywhere from one second to the next and seemingly just have any kind of weapon at their disposal without any form of law enforcement being none the wiser. Plus the combo of Lila and Rita was painstaking.

Plus I liked Jimmy Smits. Have not caught season 4 or 5 yet, hopefully they are better than 2 and 3 bc season 1 was so good.
