I've started watching The BBC version of The Office. Ricky Gervais just cracks me up! I just couldn't get into the US version.

I love the US version but have always heard the original was so great! One day I need to watch it too..

Gervais also makes me laugh big time.  I watched the US version and was a big fan.  I only watched a  few of the originals and gave up.  The reason was that it was so hard to hear..... I had to blast the volume and still couldn't decipher a lot of jokes.

Here it is, in its entirety, our cover of ELO's Telephone Wire

I'm waiting for Designated Survivor to come out on DVD. I just can't watch the new 24 without Kiefer Sutherland

Willard1979

I just watched Fresh Off the Boat for the first time. I thought it was cute. Compared to what they showed after, it was the only show I actually enjoyed. They need to cancel everything else. The remaining shows just weren't funny.

Anybody watching Big Little Lies?
We have been loving it. I'd say it's the best acting I've ever seen by Nicole Kidman. Usually just not much of a fan but she's great in this. All the actors are.

Couldn't agree more. I've never been a Nicole Kidman fan but she's really good in this. One show left and I have no idea who's going to kill who, how about you?
It's the art of feelin' naked in your clothes

LBSUNFLWR

Hoping Nicole Kidman kills her husband!!
But I have a feeling it'll be more unexpected than that.

I have had a thought that Nicole's husband is the one who attacked Jane and is Ziggy's father.
And Nicole tells Jane about her situation. Then Jane shoots the abusive husband.

Both of these statements are like someone took the words right out of my mouth.  I saw the preview and thought no way (not a fan of the actors, Kidman), but I am shocked at how good the show is.  Without the amazing performances are espec Kidman and Reese, the show could have gone downhill fast.

I'd also like to add that the current season of Homeland is top notch too!

Just bought Season 2.0 and Season 7 of Archer. I've been watching Mr. Robot first. Pretty intense!

I am finally checking out The Wire.  I'm on Season 2, episode 8.  No question, quality police procedural.

Also binged Season 4 of The Americans to catch up to the current season 5.  One of the best shows, probably in my top ten drama series.

Happy with the (short-lived?) return of Review, its "final season".   It a great show, cringe comedy at its best.

Still so much to catch up on.  Fargo, Saul, Badlands, Leftovers, Orange.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Seasons 3&4 of the Wire are as good as it gets.
Don't you ever turn it off

LBSUNFLWR

I recently finished The Wire  loved it.
Especially the kids. I was sad to be done.

I'm from Baltimore so I had a special thing for it.
I didn't grow up in that part of town. I did live in downtown Baltimore for six years after college though but in a prettier safer part of the city. It was cool to hear them mention neighborhoods and streets and hear them get the accent down perfectly. Especially considering McNulty and Stringer Bell are both British!!

Stringer was the best character.

Season two of the wire was my least favorite.

If you haven't watched Six Feet Under you should add that to your list. Probably my favorite show ever.

We are getting ready to start The Sopranos. Never watched except for an episode here and there.

there are two types of Wire fans:

those who say S2 is the worst and those who say S5 is the worst (even though they are both superb seasons of TV, but something has to be "worst" right?)

Count me in the camp of the latter.

Bubbles was my favorite - his story arc is so sad, beautiful and redemptive.
Don't you ever turn it off

LBSUNFLWR

I love Bubbles too. Love Omar. Loved Bodhi.
such incredible characters. Marlow even, Snoop.
when else are murdering drug dealers your favorite characters?

You're so lucky you have all that to look forward to......The Wire, Fargo, and Better Call Saul are all top quality shows.  If you're not crazy about The Wire season 2, don't give up because season 3 and 4 are ba-ba-bananas-nanas.

I've never seen Badlands, Leftovers, Orange.

The series finale of Six Feet Under could be the greatest series finale ever.  It was so moving.  The very end was perfection.

Sopranos is terrific.  You have a lot of fun hours to put in LBSUN.

For those fans of these types of quality dramas, I would add The Night Of to your must see list if you haven't seen it yet.  It is also outstanding!
