I love german/germany.  I lived there for a month last summer, im decent at speaking it, i've hosted a few german kids at my house.  I wish to involve german somehow with a career.

So i applied for a scholarship to live in Germany for a year. Filled out a very tedious application. Wrote about 7 essays, ect.  Got past the 1st round of elimination as it were, had an interview in january with 3 "judges".  I wait until march. To discover i didnt get accepted. I got way too far ahead of myself. Mentally, i was preparing to go to germany. Mentally, i was IN germany.   In no way was i prepared to accept defeat like this. Sure its a bummer i didnt get accepted, but i really intensified the disapointment. I will be too old to apply next year.         Fuck me.

So...Friday night I'm heading to Regina (2 hours from here) with a friend and am spending half the day pissing around, then heading to see Black Mountain at my favourite venue in the world.  We're spending the night at an old friend's house and tying on a mean drunk.  Then home early the next morning so my friend can make it to work on time.

I was SUPPOSED to be driving to Saskatoon (3 hours from here) alone Saturday to see Black Mountain again.  My good friend who I was to stay with didn't get our tickets yet and the show is now sold out.  I'm pretty pissed, but not at her, cause she's the nicest girl in the world.  

It's probably for the best though, I'll save myself some $$$ and at least I'm seeing BM (at my favourite venue, no less).  But I was really looking forward to hitting Saskatoon.  Such a wonderful city.

People who bitch about the tabs site.  I put in all this work, make what I consider to be a good tabs site, and people gotta come on there and dog my tabs. I know they're not all 100% accurate, I never claimed they were.  

And I get it, people want bass tabs too.  But I'm not a bass player, if you are and you like the jacket figure some of the songs out yourself and send them to me.  I'll put them on the interweb for you and you can hear people bitch about how much they suck.

make sure you get lots of rest! seriously. i had mono the last month of my senior year of high school. i missed all the fun stuff... field day, parties, etc. i went to prom, but ended up getting worse b/c i didn't rest.

i know it sucks to stay at home and not have fun, but you've got to. mono is kind of like your body's way or forcing you to slow down and rest.

so take it easy. buy a tv show on dvd. sit on the couch and nap a lot. rest! and you'll be better soon.
