We're on our third day of no heat or hot water. Thankfully it hasn't been too cold and our house is well insulated, but I'm going to have to brave a cold shower today...followed by a dental scaling. Double whammy!

I hurt for my friends that are suffering and the emptiness I feel knowing there is nothing I can do to fix it.

It's been almost a year since my best friend was in his car accident. he was in a coma for a while and has yet to gain consciousness. I miss him terribly.

My grandfather had a heart attack yesterday. They are doing some sort of heart catheterization today, so please send prayers/thoughts his way.

Thanks, y'all.

My mom said the heart cath went ok. He is doing better now. The dr. said that there was a lot of blockage, but there was nothing they could do. He had a bypass surgery 10 years ago, and they told us that it would last about 8 to 12 years.

It sucks that there isn't much more they can do for him. It makes me angry and sad at the same time.

Like M said- got a whole lotta losin-
the inevitable hard truth of it is that everyone you know and love will someday die- you may live to see that or you may go first. Its unfortunate but thats life- its what you do with the time you've got thats what's really important.

EDIT:
I don't at all mean to sound preachy- I myself have been struggling to make each day count and be in the moments that each day provide... it's difficult because there are so many distractions.

I think the reason I get so upset is b/c most of my PawPaw's health problems are caused by his exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. He volunteered for three tours of duty over there, and it makes me angry that he is sick b/c of it. It isn't fair.

I'm thinking about everyone else too and I'd like to say thanks for the thoughts and well wishes. I always know I can get good support here. Everyone is so special. It makes me feel really warm inside when I see the support/love/encouragement here.
