I am fairly certain that I work for a wife-beater.  The guy treats me like crap one day and the next wants to be best friends...then gets angry when I have nothing to say or don't feel the need to joke and play with him.  So then I get treated poorly all over again.

What an ass he is and what an ass I am for taking this job.

One thing's for sure, you're not an ass for taking the job.  You couldn't have known he'd be like this.

How are the job prospects in your field?  Sounds like it might be time to start looking.

Thanks, Maggie...it's definitely time for me to move on, but there aren't many prospects down here.  I'd like to stay in this area a little while longer, but I'm not sure how long I'm going to last...hopefully through Jazz Fest!  :)

Back went out last night.   :-\  I've spent most of the day on the living room floor.  I can barely move, but some leftover percocet has helped a little. 

Related but different complaint... While laid up, decided to watch Close Encounters with my 2 older girls.  They would not shut up during the whole thing.  Kept asking questions.  Just watch and enjoy, dammit!   >:(

I'm getting old.  :(

Sorry to hear, Yac.  Bad backs suck.  I've thrown mine out a couple of times.  One of my son's tball coaches was jogging on the field last week.  He looked at me and said, "I threw my back out today so bad you wouldn't believe".  I was thinking, "you're right, I don't believe it.  I've done it and you don't jog around afterwards".   Sheesh, some people.

Sorry to hear about your house, Ralph. That happened to my brother and his wife once.  It was pretty traumatic for them, even though they didn't steal much.

My complaint.. I noticed some wall discoloring above my shower.  I took out the wall behind the shower yesterday and discovered a pretty massive mold problem.  Plus a leaky pipe that has the sheetrock saturated from floor to ceiling.  So, thats cool.

So sorry to hear that your house got robbed. I know how mad I was when my car was broken into, I can only imagine how mad it makes you that they came into your home. Take care.

OH Dave, how awful.  I am so sorry to hear this.  I remember when I was a kid, my grandparents house was robbed, and I happened to be with them when we arrived home to find the house in complete disarray.  What an awful feeling.  I'm glad they didn't take much, and glad that no one was there or hurt, but it's still a tough thing to shake off .
